Full job description
At Fastbreak AI, we’re changing how sports operations are managed. Our AI-powered platforms deliver precision scheduling, league and tournament management, group travel, and sponsorship activation for professional, college, and amateur sports organizations, from the pro league office to the weekend youth tournament.
You’ll work directly with Fastbreak’s leadership team across finance, legal, and sales and revenue operations. The company is still small enough that you’ll see how decisions get made and then help carry them out, and each week you’ll spend time on whatever matters most at that point. The work is hands-on. Some days you’ll reconcile payments, update Salesforce or get a contract signed. Other days you’ll research a vendor, prepare materials for a leadership meeting or help move along a project that involves three departments. That range is how you learn the business from the inside, and as you show what you can handle, you’ll be given more of it.
We’re hoping to find someone who wants to be close to how decisions get made, who notices what needs to be done before anyone asks, and who sees this role as the start of a career in operations, finance or business leadership.
Responsibilities
- Invoices, payments, receivables follow-up, and expense documentation, keeping the numbers clean so leadership can trust them.
- Maintain contract files, track renewals and key dates, prepare agreements for signature, and coordinate with counsel on routine matters.
- Keep CRM data accurate, track deal progress, support customer account setup, and connect the work of sales, finance, and operations.
- Research, meeting prep, materials, logistics, and follow-through on action items, making sure what gets decided actually gets done.
- Own the accuracy of the spreadsheets, databases, and tools the company runs on, and find ways to improve them.
- Field questions from customers, vendors, and internal teams. Solve what you can, and know when to escalate.
- Special projects, new areas of the business, and bigger responsibilities as you earn them.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, sports management, or a related field
- 0–1+ years of professional experience; internships in operations, finance, or business roles are a plus
- Ambitious and self-directed: you want more responsibility and you go after it
- Meticulous about details and relentless about follow-through
- Discreet and trustworthy, since you’ll regularly see sensitive financial, legal, and strategic information
- A clear, professional communicator in writing, on the phone, and in person
- Energized by a fast-paced startup where priorities shift and the job changes as the company grows
- Comfort with spreadsheets and tools like Salesforce is a plus; we’ll teach you the rest
The details
- This is a temp-to-hire position starting at $20/hour, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right person.
- Role will start 5 days / week onsite, after 90 days you are able to shift to a 4-an-1 hybrid schedule.
Benefits
- A flat start up environment where your ideas matter, and innovation thrives.
- The opportunity to shape the future of a rapidly growing and well-funded company and make your mark.
