How these numbers are made

Only fully remote postings count here: a hybrid role is tied to an office. A posting is open worldwide when it states no location restriction. It is open to a region when it names a region (EMEA, Latin America, Europe) rather than countries. Otherwise it is limited to the countries it names. A posting can accept several countries, so the country shares add up to more than the “specific countries” share.

Postings that state no usable location are left out.

The data covers active remote and hybrid postings that Remote Jobs Rock collects from companies' own applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and others). Job aggregators, staffing agencies and gig marketplaces are excluded. That makes it a large, direct-from-employer sample. It is not a census of every job, and it leans toward companies that hire through those systems. The figures are recomputed every day, so they can differ from an earlier visit. The CSV shows the date of each figure.
