* Month to date. Months group postings by the date they were posted. We only see a company's postings from the day we start tracking its board, so the series starts in June 2026 and shows shares rather than counts: our coverage grew each month, and counts would mostly track that growth. A month with fewer than 200 postings in a group is left blank.

How these numbers are made

A posting shows pay when the posting itself states a salary, a pay range or an hourly rate. A posting's country is where the job is based. For a remote job with no base, it's the one country the job is open to. “European Union” adds up all 27 member states.

Months group postings by the date they were posted. We only see a company's postings from the day we start tracking its board, so the series starts in June 2026 and shows shares rather than counts: our coverage grew each month, and counts would mostly track that growth. A month with fewer than 200 postings in a group is left blank.

The EU directive (2023/970) gives applicants the right to pay information before the interview, in the job posting or otherwise. A posting without pay is therefore not a breach in itself. These figures show how often pay is published up front.

The data covers active remote and hybrid postings that Remote Jobs Rock collects from companies' own applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and others). Job aggregators, staffing agencies and gig marketplaces are excluded. That makes it a large, direct-from-employer sample. It is not a census of every job, and it leans toward companies that hire through those systems. The figures are recomputed every day, so they can differ from an earlier visit. The CSV shows the date of each figure.
