- Create cloud-agnostic abstractions and software infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Drive complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
- Ensure high availability and security of database infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident investigations for production issues.
- Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Site Reliability Engineering teams.
🛠️ Requirements
- Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: 7–12 years of professional experience designing, building, operating, and scaling large-scale backend distributed systems in high-growth production environments.
- Core Systems Knowledge: Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and experience running large-scale distributed systems.
- Advanced Programming Proficiency: Strong hands-on coding experience in systems and application languages such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
- Public Cloud Mastery: Extensive experience architecting infrastructure on major public clouds (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including cloud networking constructs (e.g., VPC peering, PrivateLink, Transit Gateways).
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Proficient in automating global fleet deployment and configuration using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven track record of technical ownership, breaking down ambiguous problems into concrete roadmaps, and delivering high-impact projects across multiple engineering teams.
