Medical Director II, Utilization Management

As a Medical Director II in Utilization Management, you will lead efforts in the appropriate use of medical services while collaborating across various health plan departments.

Description

• Assist in developing and maintaining an efficient utilization management program.
• Perform clinical reviews and conduct peer-to-peer discussions.
• Participate in inter-rater reliability activities.
• Analyze utilization data and suggest improvement opportunities.
• Mentor clinical teams and develop relationships to support growth.
• Participate in committees to achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Doctorate from an accredited school of medicine (M.D.) or osteopathy (D.O) required.
• Five or more years of clinical practice experience.
• Three years of previous medical director experience in utilization management.
