Full job description
About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.
About the Role:
As a Product Manager, Storage on the Vercel cloud product team, you’ll own the Storage product portfolio where applications and agents keep their data on Vercel. That covers Blob for blob storage, Drives for persistent filesystems, and future database and key value storage products. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, in the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
What You Will Do:
- Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Vercel’s storage portfolio, using usage, performance, and reliability data to decide what to build next and what to stop doing
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and DX to integrate storage products with the rest of Vercel’s cloud (Functions, backend services, Sandboxes, Daemons) and ship primitives that other Vercel product teams build on
- Set and hold the bar for performance, availability, and durability across the portfolio, and make the call when those goals trade off against speed or cost
- Shape pricing and packaging for storage so it scales with customers from hobbyist to large Enterprise
- Work directly with Enterprise customers and the field to unblock adoption where scale, compliance, data locality, or encryption requirements get in the way
About You:
- 8+ years of product management experience, including shipping storage, database, or data infrastructure products (object storage, relational databases, or key-value stores)
- Technical depth in the tradeoffs between storage solutions, and have explained them clearly to engineers and customers
- Owned multiple connected product areas and set direction that other product teams built against
- Worked directly with Enterprise customers on data and storage requirements and turned them into roadmap decisions
Bonus If You:
- Have worked at a cloud provider or data storage provider
- Have an engineering background or have built software yourself
- Have worked with compliance and security requirements in enterprise procurement
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package, including equity.
- Inclusive Healthcare Package.
- Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
- Flexible Time Off.
- We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.
