About the role:
As an endpoint engineer in the team you will own data exfiltration prevention on endpoints and requires background in Windows Platform. Engineers in this team own the design and development of core features on Nightfall’s Data Exfiltration platform. This requires leveraging file & device interfaces and requires in-depth understanding of Operating System internals.
Responsibilities
Designing and developing data exfiltration prevention apps, drivers, system extensions and services on Windows.
Maintaining and evolving mission-critical agents on endpoints.
Own complex features from design to delivery and troubleshoot issues from customers.
Designing and building secure software with cross-platform deliverables (Windows)
Writing and maintaining documentation about internal and public services.
Requirements
Expertise in one of the following: C/C++ on Windows.
Demonstrable expertise in developing agents on Windows.
On Windows, practical development experience with WDF (Windows Driver Frameworks), filter drivers and familiarity with user mode apps is required.
Readiness to learn other systems languages (e.g. Rust, Go, Python). Prior experience in one of these languages is a definite plus.
Experience with kernel-level debugging processes and tools. Ability to use reverse engineering techniques and debugging of kernel space code.
Ability to decompose complex business problems and own them end to end across teams.
Minimum 10+ years of related work experience.

Employee compensation will be determined based on interview performance, level of experience, specialization of skills, and market rate. Design and lead backend finance platforms, including event-processing APIs, an append-only accounting ledger, and production services with audit-grade controls, exact-once processing, and high correctness requirements.
Productionize and optimize GPU inference systems across serving APIs, vLLM, ROCm, and rack-scale infrastructure, improving reliability, numerical correctness, throughput, latency, and capacity efficiency.
Own cross-squad architecture and major technical initiatives, guide engineering direction through influence, and raise the bar for technical quality as the organization scales.
Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and deployment of secure AI systems, setting standards for safe machine learning while advising clients, mentoring engineers, and advancing AI safety evaluations.
Provide hands-on technical leadership for a member-focused eCommerce platform, shaping architecture and engineering strategy while solving complex problems and improving reliability, quality, and delivery across teams.
