- Gather operational and network requirements, map workflows, and translate findings into business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and deliver solutions end to end, including architecture, project coordination, implementation, QA, and release management.
- Manage open-source monitoring and observability tools, configure telemetry and alerts, and provide Level 3 troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Develop and administer Salesforce Service Cloud capabilities, integrations, automations, dashboards, and CI/CD releases.
- Administer Jira workflows, spaces, automation rules, filters, and webhooks to improve operational handoffs and SLA tracking.
- Create technical documentation and playbooks, coordinate with vendors, optimise system costs, and participate in on-call rotations.
🛠️ Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in IT, telecommunications, or cloud systems engineering across business systems analysis, OSS/BSS, Salesforce, and Atlassian administration.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining OSS tools, with strong skills in stakeholder engagement and cross-team project coordination.
- Experience with operational workflow mapping, gap analysis, requirements documentation, and analytics dashboards using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Visio, and Power BI.
- Hands-on knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Alerta, Alertmanager, OpenNMS, Nagios, SNMP, MIBs, streaming telemetry, MPLS, and AWS networking.
- Salesforce experience with Service Cloud, Flow Builder, Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Data Cloud, Agentforce 360, security controls, and release management.
- Advanced Jira administration and automation skills, including workflow design, webhooks, and JQL.
- Strong Python and Shell scripting skills; experience with Groovy, JavaScript, Node.js, Vue, Perl, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Linux, AWS, and IaC.
- Able to work independently in distributed teams, contribute to Agile frameworks, and manage multi-stakeholder engagements.

Your Role
Latitude.sh is looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer in OSS and operations automation. This is a new role within the operations department. The purpose of the role is to continue managing our monitoring and customer support systems, implement synergies with existing tools, and develop automation for day-to-day work. Your customers are the front-line support team, CS / TSE / NOC, Network Operations Engineering and Production Development Engineering teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced in relevant technologies, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to project-manage dependencies across technical departments and lead the implementation of operations tools/automation strategy.
We are looking for someone excited to lead the development of this capability. There is an abundance of high-value opportunities in this space for Latitude.sh. Proven experience in designing, implementing and maintaining OSS tools is a must. The ideal candidate would have a genuine interest in analysing measurable operations work activity, exploring opportunities to develop systemic automations and managing the design and implementation of the identified opportunities
