Full job description

About Vitally

Vitally is a Customer Success Platform built for modern post-sales teams. We help companies better understand their customers, streamline how teams work, and build stronger customer relationships.

But the world of customer-facing work is changing fast. AI is fundamentally reshaping how companies operate, how teams deliver value, and what's possible when people and technology work together.

We're embracing that change. We're rethinking long-held assumptions, exploring new possibilities, and investing in a bold vision for the future.

We're a small, ambitious team that moves quickly, values creative thinking, and believes great ideas can come from anywhere. We're looking for curious, resourceful builders who want to challenge the status quo, experiment with what's next, and help us tell stories that make people think differently.

The opportunity

Vitally is looking for a Content Marketing Lead to create the kind of content that makes people stop, think, and pay attention.

We're looking for someone who combines exceptional editorial judgment with creative instincts, modern distribution thinking, and an AI-native approach to getting great work done.

You'll spend most of your time developing standout content — finding fresh ideas, working with subject-matter experts, creating compelling stories, and making sure those stories reach the audiences who matter.

You'll also help define our editorial voice and build the systems, standards, and AI-powered workflows that allow us to produce high-quality content at scale.

This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership. We want someone who loves the craft of creating, knows how to make complex ideas interesting, and is constantly experimenting with better ways to work.

The impact you'll have

Create standout content

  • Develop original, high-impact content that helps Vitally stand out and become a recognized voice in our market.

  • Find interesting angles in customer stories, industry conversations, executive perspectives, and emerging trends.

  • Create content across social, articles, newsletters, research, video, and other formats, with a strong emphasis on social-first storytelling.

  • Partner with executives and subject-matter experts to turn complex ideas into clear, compelling, memorable stories.

  • Develop recurring creative concepts and editorial franchises that build audience recognition and engagement.

Own distribution, not just production

  • Own the organic distribution of the content you create, including our blog, corporate social channels, and executive thought leadership.

  • Plan how content will reach its audience before production begins.

  • Partner with Growth to amplify our best work across paid, owned, earned, and emerging discovery channels.

  • Work with SEO/GEO specialists to improve our visibility in traditional search and AI-powered answer engines.

  • Use audience insights and performance data to understand what resonates and continuously improve our approach.

Build an AI-native content engine

  • Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, drafting, editing, repurposing, and optimization while maintaining a high bar for originality and accuracy.

  • Develop reusable workflows, templates, and content systems that make our marketing organization more efficient.

  • Experiment with automation and new tools to reduce manual work and increase creative output.

  • Build processes that allow us to turn a single strong idea into multiple compelling pieces of content across channels.

  • Continuously explore how new technologies can improve both the quality and impact of our work.

Set the editorial quality bar

  • Help define and evolve Vitally's editorial voice, tone, and storytelling standards.

  • Bring strong creative and editorial judgment to everything we publish.

  • Edit and strengthen content created by colleagues, freelancers, subject-matter experts, and AI tools.

  • Know when something needs more work, when an idea isn't distinctive enough, and when it's time to ship.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, journalism, brand storytelling, or a related field, with the majority of that experience in B2B technology.

  • An exceptional writer and editor with a portfolio demonstrating original ideas, strong storytelling, and creative execution.

  • A track record of creating content that earns attention, builds audiences, and generates meaningful engagement.

  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to make complex or technical topics accessible, compelling, and relevant.

  • A distribution mindset. You think about how content will reach people before you start creating it.

  • Familiarity with SEO, GEO, and how content gets discovered through search and AI-powered platforms.

  • Resourcefulness and a willingness to roll up your sleeves, experiment, and move quickly.

  • Strong editorial judgment and the confidence to challenge ideas, improve quality, and maintain high standards.

  • Intellectual curiosity, a growth mindset, and genuine enthusiasm for learning new things.

What success looks like within year one:

  • Vitally has a clear and differentiated editorial point of view.

  • The market increasingly associates Vitally with the future of Customer Success and customer intelligence.

  • Our executives have strong, recognizable thought-leadership platforms.

  • Vitally has launched compelling original research and recurring editorial franchises.

  • Major product launches are supported by months of market education—not just launch-day promotion.

  • Our owned audience and organic demand are growing.

  • Editorial programs are contributing meaningfully to pipeline and revenue.

  • Sales has stronger ideas, narratives, and content to create buyer urgency.

  • Vitally is increasingly recognized not just for the software we sell, but for the ideas we bring to the market.

Why Vitally:

Customer Success is changing quickly. AI can increasingly summarize information, automate administrative work, and execute tasks that once consumed much of a CSM’s day. The bigger opportunity is what happens next: what customer-facing people can accomplish with that capacity, what companies can learn from every customer, and how those insights can make an entire organization smarter.

Vitally is building toward that future. You’ll help make the market believe in it.

Benefits & Culture:

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary based on competitive market data, your experience, and geographic location. The US-based compensation range for this role is approximately $175,000 - $230,000.

Equity: We want every team member invested in the company's success and are happy to be generous with equity.

Benefits:

  • 100% of health/dental/vision insurance premiums covered by us

  • 401k through Empower

  • Commuter benefits

  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum we require you to take off. Please relax and recharge!

  • Flexible work hours and work-from-home policy

  • Yearly education stipend towards your professional development

Our culture: We are committed to a productive and respectful work environment. Culturally, the team is extremely friendly, fun, hard-working, intelligent, and mature. That said, we don't believe in building a startup cult. We like each other, we support each other, we're a focused team, and we enjoy hanging out from time to time, but we enjoy and appreciate having our own lives outside of Vitally. If this resonates, Vitally could be a great place for you!
