VP - Business Analytics

Company Description

Unitek Learning is seeking an experienced and strategic analytics leader to establish and scale its enterprise analytics capability. The Vice President of Business Analytics will design and lead the frameworks, processes, and tools that unify data across the organization, transforming insights into actionable strategies. This role will engage in business analytics, competitive intelligence, and macroeconomic trend analysis so Unitek Learning can deliver on its mission of delivering for it’s students and campuses.

Job Description

• Build, recommend and lead Unitek Learning’s enterprise analytics organization from inception — defining the operating model, structure, and technology stack, with the most senior executives.
• Develop and execute the enterprise analytics roadmap to enable data-driven decision-making across all functions.
• Lead campus-specific analytics to drive performance optimization and strategy recommendations.
• Conduct competitive and marketplace analytics to monitor industry and channel evolution providing clear synthesis of findings.
• Integrate and report on macroeconomic data and external indicators into forecasting, planning, and long-range strategic modeling.
• Partner with Finance, Operations and Marketing leaders to embed analytics into everyday business decisions.
• Champion enterprise data governance and ensure quality, accessibility, and adoption of analytic tools and insights.
• Present analytical findings and strategic implications to executive leadership, enabling clear and actionable decision making.
• Hybrid model - 3 days per week at the Tempe corporate office is an essential function of this position.
• This role requires on-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative discipline required; Master's degree preferred.

• 5+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or data engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role owning a data and analytics organization.
• Demonstrated track record leading a data or analytics transformation — assessing a low-maturity environment and executing a credible modernization roadmap.
• Experience in the development and delivery of enterprise reporting, executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, campus specific analytics, competitor benchmarking, and strategic business insights.

• Background in fostering a culture of innovation, analytics excellence, data-driven decision-making, and AI adoption across the organization.
• Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, SAS, Tableau, or similar analytical and visualization tools preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical findings and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, regulators, auditors, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Executive presence and storytelling capability.
• Ability to challenge assumptions with data and evidence.
• Commitment to driving measurable business outcomes through analytics and intelligence.
