Software Mind is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Data Engineering team of one of our clients, a company in the advertising and retail technology space. You’ll be the go-to expert for reporting, dashboards, and data visualization, turning data into clear stories for product and business teams.
Main Responsibilities
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
Hands-on Domo experience is required, including building dashboards, datasets, dataflows, and reporting solutions.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing, querying, and reporting.
Strong SQL skills, including data modeling, query optimization, and stored procedures.
Proficiency in Python or R for data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
Proven ability to tell stories through data visualization and translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Experience defining and standardizing KPIs and business metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and comfort with ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Experience working in Agile, fast-paced environments.

Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for student loan data, building a reliable Power BI Service environment through SQL analysis, data validation, report migration, and collaboration with client teams.
Migrate reporting assets from SAP BusinessObjects to Qlik by analyzing and rebuilding reports, debugging legacy and new applications, optimizing data models, and validating results with stakeholders.
Design and maintain enterprise BI dashboards, reports, and data models, translating business needs into trusted insights while supporting KPI governance, data quality, and operational decision-making.
Design and develop BI solutions for a multi-tenant Life Science Data Management Platform, focusing on TIBCO Spotfire and Power BI, while mentoring team members and driving BI standards.
Lead the technical migration of Epic Cogito data models to a cloud environment, validating data and reports while optimizing workflows, dashboards, and SQL performance and mentoring customer teams.
