WaterTech Client #1 | Process Engineer

On behalf of WaterTech Client #1, SD Solutions is looking for a talented Process Engineer

You will be responsible for the design of water desalination/wastewater treatment plants, ensuring compliance with client specifications, project schedule, quality standards, and budget requirements. The role focuses on delivering cost-effective engineering solutions while providing technical support throughout all phases of the project design.

Responsibilities:

• Mass balances and Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
• Hydraulic profile
• Preliminary plant layout
• P&ID
• Hydraulic calculations, including flow rates, pressures, flow velocities, pipe sizing, and material selection.
• Line list, equipment list, motor list, instrument list, valve list, and I/O list.
• Technical specifications for equipment, instrumentation, and valves.
• Provide technical support to the Procurement Department for equipment selection and supplier evaluations.
• Sequence of Operations (SOO).
• Plant commissioning and start-up procedures.
• Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manual of the plant.
• Participate in technical meetings and engineering status updates.
• Work within the existing project engineering team, reporting to a project manager and lead engineer.
• Provide on-call support during project launches, as needed.
• Support plant commissioning through on-site business trips when required (not mandatory at the outset).
  

Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Water and Wastewater Engineering - mandatory.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working in engineering project companies - mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in plant commissioning and start-up - significant advantage

Required Skills

• High level of English proficiency (technical English).
• Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes.
• Proven experience in:
• PFDs, mass & energy balances, P&IDs, Data sheets,
• Working with equipment suppliers and technical evaluations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent self-learning ability.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Proficiency in preparing technical presentations.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and diligent.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Tools & Systems

• Proficiency in AutoCAD - mandatory.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to work within company systems (shared folders) via provided credentials.

Work Arrangement

• Working hours aligned with Israel (Israel Standard Time) - preferred.
• Availability for on-call support during project launches.
• Willingness to travel for commissioning-related business trips when required (not mandatory at the outset).
