As a Data Architect at PALO IT, you will play a crucial role in shaping data strategy and architecture, carrying the following responsibilities:
Strategy & Architecture: Define and document the organization’s data architecture aligned with business and IT strategy. Design enterprise data models and assess data technologies based on evolving business needs.
Governance, Privacy & Quality: Implement policies for data governance, ensuring compliance with data regulations and facilitating the adoption of metadata management tools.
Data Integration & Design: Architect solutions for data integration, ensuring interoperability across domains and delivering a comprehensive data view.
Collaboration & Leadership: Act as a technical reference for teams, promoting best practices and translating business needs into scalable data solutions.
You're a strong fit for this Data Architect role if you have:
Required Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or relevant cloud and data architecture certifications.
Professional Experience:
10+ years of experience in data engineering.
3+ years designing cloud-based data architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
2+ years in data architecture, enterprise data modeling, or data governance.
Led data model design for various architectures (Data Warehouse, Data Lake, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, including compliance and quality.
Technical Expertise
Data Modeling: Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling.
Architectures: Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Mesh.
Governance: Familiarity with data lineage, quality, and metadata management.
Platforms: Azure Synapse, Purview, Unity Catalog, Cosmos DB.
Languages & Tools: SQL, Python, JSON, Java, Scala.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Azure DevOps.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Systemic thinking and ability to manage complexity.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Technical leadership and a strong focus on scalability and reuse.
Utilize Generative AI coding tools for tasks like code scaffolding and documentation generation.

Own the end-to-end data architecture for a contact-centre reporting platform, designing Databricks lakehouse pipelines, Kimball dimensional models, ingestion controls, and migration from legacy pipelines.

Lead and innovate as a Senior Business Systems Architect, driving operational excellence through the design and optimization of scalable business processes and systems integrations.
