📜 Description

  • Travel to wind farms throughout the U.S. on a rotational basis, by air or truck.
  • Repair composite blades uptower using platforms or rope access, and occasionally on the ground.
  • Perform epoxy and polyester resin wet layup, vacuum infusion, and structural repairs using balsa and foam sandwich materials.
  • Complete daily progress and QAQC reports and onsite stock checks.
  • Assist the site lead and project coordinator as needed.

🛠️ Requirements

  • 2+ years of composite repair experience.
  • Platform and/or rope access experience.
  • Knowledge of epoxy and polyester resins, wet lay-up, vacuum bag techniques, balsa and foam core materials, fiberglass reinforcement, and structural repair.
  • Ability to safely use powered hand tools and read complex technical drawings and processes.
  • Knowledge of quality specifications, including temperature and humidity restrictions.
  • IT literacy, flexibility when scope changes, and ability to work well on a team and take guidance.
  • Valid, current driver's license; must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
  • Able to meet physical demands, including climbing ladders up to 300 feet and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Location: 100% travel throughout the USA

Job Type: Regular Full-time or Contract positions available

Job Responsibilities:

  • Travel 100% on a rotational basis to wind farms throughout the U.S. - cross country travel by air or truck

  • Perform composite blade repair uptower via platforms, rope access and/or occasionally on the ground

  • Epoxy and Polyester resin wet layup

  • Vacuum infusion

  • Balsa and foam sandwich materials

  • Structural repair

  • Completing detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and QAQC reports

  • Completing onsite stock checks

  • Assisting site lead and project coordinator as applicable
