Your role
Right now, FutureMedia is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take a key role in building highly performant, maintainable, and user-focused web applications across multiple products, working end to end on our NestJS, Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL stack.

Your impact

• Design and build scalable, secure, and maintainable features across our NestJS backend and Next.js frontend.

• Lead architecture decisions across services, APIs, and cross-stack boundaries, keeping technical implementation aligned with product goals.

• Champion clean code, modular design, and testability through hands-on contribution, reusable components, and code reviews.

• Drive system-level decisions on performance, observability, and scalability, and define logging and alerting standards.

• Keep CI/CD reliable, working closely with DevOps on release stability and consistent environments, and lead incident response and continuous improvement.

• Work closely with product, QA, and design to unblock delivery, and mentor engineers across squads.

About you

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with NestJS, Node.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, data modeling, and optimization techniques, including diagnosing and fixing production issues such as N+1 queries or lost updates.

• Solid experience building and consuming REST APIs with secure JWT-based authentication flows, and protecting them against real vulnerabilities beyond tokens.

• Experience with frontend performance optimization, SSR, lazy loading, and state management, backed by measurable improvements to a user-visible problem.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and environment management.

• Proven ability to lead architecture decisions, enforce code quality, and guide teams through technical complexity.

• Systemic thinking and pragmatic decision-making, seeing the bigger picture across stacks, squads, and products while balancing real-world trade-offs.

• Ownership mindset, from design to delivery to incident resolution.

• Comfortable working in cross-functional squads, with clear written and asynchronous communication in distributed teams.

• Proficient English, written and spoken.

Will be a plus

• Hands-on experience with AWS.

• Experience with component libraries such as Storybook, React UI, or design systems.

• Exposure to event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Background in observability tooling (Sentry, Datadog, GroundCover) and defining alerting and logging standards.

• Contributions to internal platforms, shared packages, or developer experience tools.
