Head of Business Unit
Remote · Full-time
About FutureMedia
FutureMedia is a global product portfolio company building practical digital products used by millions of people worldwide.
Our products span career, self-discovery, productivity, and digital essentials. We build them by bringing product, engineering, design, data, and growth together around real user needs and shared business goals.
We take responsibility for outcomes, learn through experimentation, and believe good ideas can come from any teammate.
Right now, FutureMedia is looking for a Head of Business Unit to own a business unit end-to-end and take it from its current stage to global market leadership, on our B2C subscription portfolio with huge room to grow. This is effectively a founder role: you own everything in your business unit, and your single mission is growth. You'll build a world-class team, establish strong processes, and relentlessly develop the product into the dominant player in its niche.
We're looking for someone hungry, proactive, and relentless. A shark who wants to build a business and will do whatever it takes to make it grow. You'll have real autonomy and clear goals, communicating regularly with the founder and CEO, but you own the outcome.
Your impact
Own the full Business Unit — strategy, growth, product, team, and P&L. Your mission is to grow the company, and everything is your responsibility
Be a true expert in product, Conversion Rate Optimisation, User Acquisition, and management — and go deep in all of them, hands-on
Push every process forward, see no blockers, and stay relentlessly proactive
Understand exactly how your technical team, customer support, and payments work — and know the data cold
Work closely with User Acquisition, understand how it works, and monitor performance on a daily basis
Constantly find ways to make the team more efficient — continuously improving and optimising how it operates
Drive revenue growth and profitability while optimising operating costs
Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring it meets market needs and a high quality bar
Keep the product roadmap aligned with business strategy and customer feedback
Ensure marketing and campaigns are data-driven, customer-centric, and aligned with product and growth
Use data analytics to refine growth strategies and ensure sustainable revenue growth
Continuously monitor key metrics — revenue growth, CAC, LTV, ROAS, onboarding conversion, ARPU, retention — and act on them to improve profitability
Communicate regularly with the founder and CEO while operating autonomously against clear goals
