ROLE OVERVIEW
The company is looking for an experienced and highly reliable Bookkeeper to support their growing portfolio of Australian small business clients. This is a full-cycle bookkeeping role — hands-on, detail-driven, and process-focused. You will be responsible for maintaining clean, accurate, and audit-ready books across multiple client accounts, working independently within a structured remote environment. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for Australian small business clients across multiple industries
- Perform bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and on time
- Support BAS preparation in line with ATO requirements (where experienced)
- Process payroll for clients as required (highly valued)
- Maintain accurate financial records across cloud-based accounting systems — Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks Online
- Ensure all transactions are correctly coded, categorised, and reconciled
- Prepare and support monthly financial reporting for internal review
- Liaise with the internal team promptly when clarification is needed on client transactions or records
- Maintain clean, organised, and audit-ready books across all client files at all times
- Proactively flag issues, discrepancies, or delays without waiting to be chased
Requirements
MUST HAVE:
