Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Seattle, Washington.
Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes
- Civil design for terminals across the United States
- Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings
- Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems
- Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule
- Provides guidance to entry level engineers
- Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Washington State Professional Engineer Registration within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree plus 5 years of related experience
- Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD)
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Preferred experience with Ports and Marine
- Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive
