We take pride in being a partner our clients can trust, delivering meaningful outcomes through innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Every project we take on is driven by the shared goal of creating lasting impact for our customers and their businesses.
Role Summary
We believe exceptional salespeople are defined as much by their traits and behaviors as by their years of experience. We are looking for individuals who are smart, curious, competitive, high-energy, highly ethical, and able to learn and act quickly. Successful candidates will also embrace Generative AI and other emerging technologies as tools to improve prospecting, account research, preparation, communication, and overall sales effectiveness.
The Account Executive is responsible for developing new business, building relationships with senior decision-makers, identifying customer initiatives and business challenges, and positioning Idea Entity capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes. This is an externally facing sales role requiring regular participation in customer meetings, networking events, industry conferences, trade shows, and other business-development activities. Local, regional, and overnight travel may be required based on customer and business needs.
This role is a full-time role, operating on a hybrid schedule out of our Herndon, VA office with three (3) teleworks days a week. Due to the nature of this role, US Citizenship is required and is not eligible for sponsorship.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and develop new customer relationships and qualified business opportunities within assigned accounts, markets, and territories.
- Develop and execute account and territory strategies, including target accounts, key stakeholders, prospecting approaches, and engagement plans.

- Engage senior executives and decision makers to understand strategic priorities, business challenges, buying processes, and desired outcomes, and position Idea Entity and RhyBus capabilities accordingly.
- Lead customer discovery conversations and coordinate customer presentations, product demonstrations, capability briefings, proposals, and follow-up activities throughout the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with prospective and existing customers, strategic partners, and industry contacts that lead to new and expanded business.
- Use HubSpot as the system of record for assigned sales activities and opportunities, maintaining timely and accurate records of contacts, customer interactions, opportunity stages, values, anticipated close dates, next steps, and other required pipeline information.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and proactively communicate opportunity status, risks, changes, customer feedback, and next actions through established sales reviews and reporting processes.
- Regularly attend and actively participate in industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, customer events, partner events, and association meetings to build relationships, generate leads, and identify new business opportunities; travel as required.
- Conduct appropriate pre-event preparation and timely post-event follow-up, ensuring relevant contacts, leads, meetings, and next actions are captured in HubSpot and pursued.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Proposal, Product, and leadership teams on campaigns, demonstrations, proposals, customer outreach, events, and other activities supporting revenue growth.
- Leverage Generative AI and other approved digital tools to strengthen account research, prospecting, personalized outreach, meeting preparation, follow-up, and sales productivity while meeting established sales goals and activity expectations.
- Develop a strong understanding of Idea Entity's capabilities, solutions, customers, and competitive differentiation
- Consistently execute Idea Entity's sales methodology and processes
