Full job description

Devoted Studios is a globally remote development company specializing in Co-development, Porting, and End-to-End Art Production for the global gaming industry.

We collaborate across time zones to support projects on all major platforms, engines and styles - from AAA titles to emerging technologies. Our team includes world-class talents who bring deep expertise in external development, pipeline optimization, and creative problem-solving. Whether it’s porting games to new systems, enhancing gameplay features, or crafting stunning visuals, Devoted Studios operates as a trusted, flexible extension of our partners’ internal teams. We are proud to be the development partner of choice for industry leaders such as:

  • Epic
  • Xbox
  • Meta
  • Obsidian Entertainment
  • Riot
  • Gearbox Software

Devoted Studios has one of the strongest brand presences in GameDev. We are looking for a senior marketing leader to own the function end to end. You will own the brand, the content, the podcast, and everything our sales team takes into a client conversation. You will report directly to the CEO, work as a genuine partner to her, raising the bar on what we already do well, keeping everything tightly connected to what actually matters for the business, and building the automation infrastructure that lets us move faster without adding noise.

The team is small, efficient, and ships. What it needs is a leader with taste and judgement — someone who sets the direction, decides where the effort goes, and holds the standard. Someone with deep industry experience, genuine creative taste, and the operational discipline to run a high-performing business function.

We are looking for someone who lives and breathes automation. A systems operator. Someone who sees inefficiency and removes it. Who builds infrastructure instead of adding headcount. Who leverages AI, workflows, and data to create leverage at scale.

This is a high-expectation role for a high-output leader. If you think in terms of systems, performance, and compounding advantage, you’ll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand & Positioning

Across social, podcast, website, events and client materials, you are the guardian of the Devoted brand — high quality, consistent voice, and a clear sense of where we’re going.

• Evolve our positioning as the business grows, and keep it sharp against the market

• Hold the quality bar across every external touchpoint

• Own the website, brand assets, conference presence, merch, and partnership materials

• Commission and direct creative work rather than producing it yourself

Sales & Client Materials

Our BD team owns client relationships. You own what they walk in with. Pitch decks, sales decks, case studies and capability materials should make Devoted the obvious choice before anyone speaks.

• Own the pitch and sales deck library, and keep it current with what we are actually delivering

• Turn shipped projects into case studies and proof points, working with production and engineering to get the detail

• Package our core services — porting, co-development, art, engineering — so each one is clearly positioned rather than described generically

• Work closely with BD on what lands in client conversations, and sharpen accordingly

Social & Content

We have a strong social presence and an experienced team behind it. Your job is to keep it excellent, accurate, and pointed at something.

• Set the content direction and make sure what we publish reflects real production work and milestones

• Coordinate with clients on material approvals and IP permissions, with zero tolerance on publishing anything uncleared

• Direct our marketing automation and AI workflows, built and maintained in-house, so the team gets more from what it produces

• Oversee community management in coordination with community leads

Devoted Speakeasy Podcast

Devoted Speakeasy is one of the industry’s most respected voices in GameDev. It has a loyal audience and a strong identity. Your job is to protect that and keep it sharp, not to turn it into a marketing funnel.

• Maintain editorial quality and brand consistency

• Oversee guest pipeline and production cadence

• Ensure podcast content gets properly amplified across other channels

• Keep the tone and positioning true to what makes Speakeasy worth listening to

Team & Delivery

You will lead a team of experienced marketing professionals and take full ownership of how they deliver. The founder should never have to chase an update or wonder what the team is working on.

• Set priorities, run tight delivery cadences, and hold the team to them

• Decide where marketing effort goes, review it against what it was meant to achieve, and stop what isn’t working

• Weekly reporting to the founder — short, clear, numbers-driven

• Own performance across the team, including the difficult conversations

• Manage contractors, agencies, and external vendors

Requirements

  • 10+ years in marketing, with meaningful time leading teams
  • GameDev, or an adjacent creative or technical services business selling to enterprise clients — you know what a studio or publisher decision-maker cares about
  • Strong brand instinct — you know what’s on-brand, what isn’t, and why it matters
  • You have built sales and client-facing material that a commercial team actually used
  • You have worked closely with founders or senior leadership as a true business partner
  • Clear judgement on priorities — you can say what you would stop as easily as what you would start
  • You get what you need from people who don’t report to you
  • Comfortable being direct — with your team, with clients, with leadership
  • Highly structured and delivery-focused without being bureaucratic
  • Solid grasp of analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting
  • Fluent enough with AI and automation tooling to direct it well

Nice to Have:

  • Background in GameDev, art production, or the broader creative industry
  • Experience in outsourcing, co-development, or work-for-hire services
  • Experience with B2B marketplaces or talent platforms
  • Experience managing paid channels (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and SEO basics
  • Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, GetResponse, or similar)

What Success Looks Like:

  • Our services are clearly positioned, and BD walks into every conversation with material that makes the case for us
  • Shipped work becomes proof — case studies and evidence flow out of production without anyone chasing
  • Marketing effort is concentrated where it pays, and the founder is no longer deciding what the team works on
  • Social is accurate, timely, and connected to what’s actually happening in the business
  • The team delivers with discipline and the founder trusts the function completely
  • The Devoted brand continues to grow in influence and quality

Benefits

We offer:

  • Strong and enthusiastic team – you will have the opportunity for knowledge sharing, learning, and professional self-development
  • Interesting and challenging tasks – solve diverse and challenging issues, communicate with people within the company as well as with our partners;
  • Convenient working conditions – remote work, the opportunity to build your own working day with flexible working hours
  • А chance to work in a highly professional and dynamic team working with a wide range of International Game Production projects, attractive remuneration package, and opportunities to develop professionally.

This is a remote, full-time contracted position.

We are an equal opportunity company and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for a contract without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
