Full job description

Joining Collibra's Product and Engineering Operations team

Turning ambitious product and engineering priorities into coordinated delivery across a global organization is hard, especially when the work spans teams, systems and competing technical dependencies. This role puts you at the center of that challenge.

As a Technical Program Manager, youโ€™ll be trusted to lead complex programs that shape what Collibra builds and how effectively our engineering organization can deliver it. Youโ€™ll work directly with Product and Engineering leaders, connecting work across teams, challenging assumptions and helping drive the decisions that move product & technical priorities forward.

You'll bring experience from a software Engineering or R&D environment and step into a role with broad ownership, high visibility and real influence over how technical work gets delivered.

This is a hybrid role based in our Brussels office, with at least two days each week in the office.

Technical Program Managers at Collibra are responsible for

  • Managing a broad range of business programs that require high levels of functional integration and change management
  • Driving project / program from Initiation to delivery ensuring teams are adhering to our SDLC
  • Partnering closely with release management and NPI stakeholders on improving our go to market processes where applicable
  • Developing, maintaining and regularly reviewing agile and project and/or program delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Delivering clear and concise visibility and communication to senior and executive leadership on portfolio, project and/or program status
  • Escalate impediments and risks that are critical to business outcomes as appropriate
  • Experience leading teams using Shape Up methodology, or a proven track record of adapting traditional Agile/Scrum frameworks to fixed-time, variable-scope models.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum and Kanban mechanics to effectively manage dependencies with external teams.

You have

  • Experience leading complex technical programs within a software Engineering, R&D or Product Engineering organization
  • Experience managing initiatives across multiple engineering teams in a SaaS environment
  • The technical fluency to understand software architecture, engineering dependencies and delivery tradeoffs, and to effectively challenge assumptions and estimates
  • A strong understanding of software development lifecycles and experience applying project and Agile practices pragmatically
  • Proven success leading through influence across engineering, product, go-to-market and senior leadership teams in complex, global organizations
  • Experience translating between technical and business requirements and creating clarity across teams with different priorities
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant working experience

You are

  • A team player with people management skills and is passionate about building a data-driven culture, including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results through both direct reports and those that are not
  • A servant leader that can build relationships across the organization and ensure the right processes, metrics and insights are in place
  • Truth seeking, and willing to not only think strategically, but be willing to jump in to get the job done yourself
  • Experienced in taking ownership, meeting deadlines, and anticipating challenges and risks before they escalate
  • A learner who can build specialized domain knowledge to help achieve optimal delivery and adept at getting things done in an environment with lots of ambiguity

Measures of success

  • Within your first month, you will build relationships with leaders in Product & Engineering, become familiar with company objectives and learn our current landscape.
  • Within your third month, you will take the lead on at least 1 project or program.
  • Within your sixth month, you will successfully deliver a business critical milestone on a project or program, and ensure the teams that work on your project or program consistently and regularly ship features on schedule.
