Developer Experience sits and builds the tools, platforms, and workflows that hundreds of Toast engineers rely on every day. We maintain and grow local development tools that accelerate engineers in the inner-loop of development, increasingly leveraging AI to enhance these workflows. You'll build and improve the tooling they use every day, measure where time is lost, and ship changes that empower Developers across Toast to ship faster and with more confidence. More and more of this work involves AI-assisted development, so you'll help shape how Toast engineers build software in the years ahead.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits. Build end-to-end AI observability features, from data ingestion and infrastructure to product visualizations, helping customers understand agent behavior, costs, token usage, errors, and anomalies.
Develop and maintain software for customer screening, financial crime prevention, and regulatory compliance, contributing to integrations, deployments, issue resolution, testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Develop and operate Device Trust authentication services, improving production reliability, observability, and resilience while helping evolve critical systems safely and turning incident learnings into lasting improvements.
Develop and maintain WEBCON BPS applications for document, approval, and back-office processes, integrating client systems and supporting production stability, testing, and process improvements.
Build and maintain Flutter features, shared UI packages, and design-system components for customer-facing iOS and Android apps, while developing mobile expertise through testing, releases, and collaboration.
