Full job description
The SDR, APAC is the first human touchpoint for prospects raising their hand across the APAC region. This role owns the response, qualification, and follow-up of inbound leads generated by our website, events, and marketing programs, turning interest into productive meetings for the APAC Sales team.
Speed, judgment, and genuine curiosity define this role. You'll engage the right people quickly, ask the questions that uncover real needs, and make every handoff to an Account Executive clean and well-informed. You'll work closely with Revenue Marketing to understand what's driving inbound interest and with APAC Sales to ensure the meetings you book are the ones they want.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Lead Response & Qualification
Respond promptly to inbound leads from website activity, content downloads, demo requests, and event interactions, with speed-to-lead as a core standard.
Research each lead before engaging: company profile, role, tech stack signals, and the specific behavior that triggered their interest.
Qualify leads through thoughtful, consultative conversations, identifying fit, need, and timing.
Book productive meetings with APAC AEs and ensure each handoff includes the context needed for a strong first conversation.
Event Follow-Up
Own timely, personalized follow-up for leads captured at APAC events, webinars, and field programs.
Partner with Revenue Marketing on event timing, target audiences, and messaging so follow-up reflects what prospects actually saw and discussed.
Re-engage event contacts who go quiet, using multi-touch sequences (email, phone, LinkedIn) tailored to their role and interests.
Lead Nurturing & Re-Engagement
Work warm and aging leads in the database, identifying who is worth re-engaging and how.
Run multi-touch sequences that reference prior engagement rather than starting from scratch.
Recycle leads appropriately when timing isn't right, with clear notes for future follow-up.
Collaboration & Feedback
Partner with APAC AEs on lead quality, meeting quality, and handoff standards.
Share what you're hearing from prospects with Revenue Marketing: which content, campaigns, and events produce real conversations and which don't.
Work with the BDR Team Lead on prioritization and process improvements.
Operational Discipline
Maintain accurate, up-to-date lead status, activity, and disposition records in Salesforce.
Follow lead routing and qualification standards so nothing slips through the cracks.
Qualifications
Prior SDR, BDR, customer-facing, or inbound sales experience preferred; strong communication skills and coachability matter more than years of experience.
Comfortable responding quickly while still doing the research to make each conversation relevant.
Confident engaging prospects by phone, email, and LinkedIn, with a consultative, curious approach to qualification.
AI-proficient, using tools to research leads and personalize outreach efficiently.
Comfortable working APAC hours and collaborating with teammates across time zones.
Familiar with Salesforce and standard sales engagement tooling, or able to ramp quickly.
Interest in security or developer-tooling space a plus, not required.
What Awesome Looks Like
Inbound leads get a fast, relevant response, and prospects feel like they're talking to someone who did their homework.
Qualification conversations that surface real needs, not just checkbox answers.
Meetings that AEs are glad to take, with the context they need to hit the ground running.
Event and campaign leads are followed up on quickly and thoughtfully, so marketing investment turns into pipeline.
