- Serve as the subject matter expert on complex accounting matters, documenting positions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Prepare technical accounting memos on significant transactions, including business combinations and revenue arrangements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess accounting implications of new products and partnerships.
- Monitor and implement new accounting standards, communicating impacts to senior management.
- Own the preparation and review of internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance.
- Design and maintain a scalable internal control environment in preparation for future public-company readiness.
🛠️ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry experience.
- Deep, current expertise in U.S. GAAP (including ASC 606 revenue recognition), with working knowledge of IFRS.
- Prior experience in a SaaS, technology, or other high-growth environment strongly preferred.
- Experience with technical accounting research and the preparation of technical memos on complex, non-routine transactions.
- Working knowledge of internal controls and SOX, with experience supporting IPO readiness or public-company reporting a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting across areas such as business combinations, equity and stock-based compensation, leases, and revenue recognition.
