Full job description
Cloaked is building a cyber expert at your side - one that watches, advises, and acts to keep you safe and private in the age of AI. 600k+ paying members already use Cloaked to take back control of their data, their identity, and who can reach them: masked emails, phone numbers, and payment cards, data removal from broker sites, and an AI voice agent that screens calls before they ring through.
We've protected 10M+ identities, screened 50M+ calls, and removed 1B+ records from the data brokers who profit off personal information. Backed by a $375M Series B, we're now building the agents that turn detection into action - for individuals, families, and the companies that want to protect their people.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Product Narrative & Launches to own the product story end to end. Cloaked ships fast across more than one product line: the consumer app, Cloaked Enterprise, and new lines coming off the roadmap (agentic privacy, Cloaked Pay, and whatever ships next). You’ll own how a feature becomes a launch, how a launch becomes a story, and how that story shows up on socials, in press, in a security buying room, on the founder’s channels, and in the market.
This role is based in our New York office, in person three days a week.
What will you do?
Own go-to-market narrative for every product and feature launch across consumer, enterprise, and new product lines: positioning, messaging, the launch plan, in-app and app-store copy, sales-facing launch material for enterprise, and the sequencing across owned, earned, and paid. Partner with product and engineering from spec, not from ship date.
Own the messaging architecture that ties the product lines together: the same technical truth told to a consumer, a CISO, and an investor without contradiction. Translate the enterprise thesis (the human attack surface) and the consumer story into one platform narrative, and extend it to new lines before they launch.
Own Cloaked’s recurring consumer feature-release property - the cadence, editorial format, naming, and branding.
Produce the Build in Public and founder content program: a weekly cadence across leadership, product, and engineering on X, LinkedIn, and beyond, written in their voices.
Make the product legible at every depth. Working demos, teardown videos, and interactive explainers (“how removal actually works,” “how Call Guard decides”) for consumers; architecture and security-posture explainers, integration walkthroughs, and technical one-pagers for enterprise buyers and their security teams; working prototypes built with AI tools.
What skills and experiences will help you?
3–4 years in product marketing, product management, developer relations, solutions engineering, technical content strategy, or an operator role at a software company that sells to both consumers and businesses, or has moved from one to the other; privacy, security, identity, fintech, or AI a strong plus.
Technical, not just technically fluent: a CS or engineering background, or equivalent proven depth. You can read code and a PR diff, read an architecture doc and ask the right question, understand how data brokers, telephony, call screening, and payment tokenization actually work (or learn it in a week), and explain a security posture to a CISO’s team without a translator.
You build working demos and prototypes yourself with AI coding tools.
You’ve run product launches end to end and can show the awareness or adoption result.
Exceptional writer across registers: a launch post, a founder tweet, a demo script, and a research report should all read as the same brand. Comfortable ghostwriting in someone else’s voice.
You’ve built or materially grown an audience - your own, a founder’s, or a product’s - and understand what earns attention on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit without a paid budget.
Self-directed and fast: you take a half-formed feature from a stand-up and return with a narrative, a plan, and a draft.
Bonus: technical content that non-technical people understood and shared; a founder or exec content program with a documented cadence and growth; something you shipped yourself (a side project, an app, an open-source contribution, or a product you founded); or experience marketing a security or identity product to a technical buyer.
What do we like?
Engineer’s curiosity, storyteller’s instinct. Reads the code before writing the post; equally happy in an architecture review and a writing session.
Extraction over authorship. Gets the story out of people who don’t have time to tell it, and writes it in their voice.
Ships in public. Comfortable with rough edges, live feedback, and a weekly cadence that doesn’t wait for perfect.
Comfortable on a small team. The work is unglamorous as often as it’s strategic.
Bonus tooling: Figma / FigJam, PostHog or comparable product analytics, short-form video and screen-capture production, Webflow for launch pages, B2B enablement formats (technical one-pagers, battlecards, security questionnaires), and Reddit, Discord, and creator-platform fluency. Security and identity domain fluency and familiarity with the privacy / identity competitive set are a plus, as is being a Cloaked user with a strong POV on the category.
What we offer
Cloaked is a well-funded Series B startup based out of NYC.
Although we are a distributed team, the NYC team operates with a hybrid model. We have two floors of our building, with two state of the art kitchens packed with drinks, snacks and everything else you'd need to get through the day.
The Cloaked team has diverse interests and so we frequently embark on team outings and go out for socials!
Compensation and Benefits
We offer above market rate pay and equity based off of the market's best commercially available data. Your compensation will be a combination of salary, bonus and equity.
For full-time US employees, we offer a comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental and vision with Cloaked covering the majority of employee premiums, company-paid basic life, and a 401(k) with company match.
We offer flexible work arrangements and the ability to work remotely as needed. Cloaked provides a home office stipend in addition to a new company laptop (and other tech depending on the role).
Perks
🌴 Competitive PTO: PTO, floating holidays and sick days - and we push people to actually use them. We see time off as a preventative burnout measure, not a balance to hoard.
👶 Parental Leave: Paid leave for all new parents - birth, adoption, or foster placement - because the people building privacy deserve time with their families.
🤸 Monthly wellness & meals stipend: Used for any kind of physical, mental or emotional care you'd like to take for yourself, be it a gym membership, a meditation app, or time with a personal trainer - plus lunch and coffee during the workday.
🧠 Professional Growth: Opportunities for career development and personal growth are provided to all employees who seek to further their knowledge and capabilities through an unlimited professional development fund. Additionally team members are encouraged to regularly attend conferences and industry events.
We are really excited about having you join our mission-driven team and help us build the future of online privacy!
