The Opportunity:
The Procurement Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the accurate and timely processing of customer orders. This position serves as a key point of contact between customers, Management, and vendors and requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, professional relationship with customers.
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with questions, concerns, and requests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls and email inquiries.
- Provide customers with accurate information regarding products, services, pricing, and order status.
- Process, place, and approve customer orders in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain consistent communication with Management regarding orders requiring review or approval.
- Review orders that are over or under budget and communicate concerns to Management to help prevent unnecessary or unauthorized purchasing.
- Follow up with customers to obtain missing or incomplete orders and ensure orders are processed before established deadlines.
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors regarding orders, products, pricing, availability, and other customer needs.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of customer and vendor interactions, orders, and related documentation.
- Prepare and run reports as requested by Management.
- Research and resolve customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate issues to Management when additional approval or assistance is required.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer, vendor, and company information.
- Follow established company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
