- Own and prioritize the fraud prevention and transaction monitoring roadmap.
- Translate fraud threats, money-laundering risks and control requirements into product requirements, detection logic and acceptance criteria.
- Lead development of rules, models and preventive controls with Engineering, Data, Operations and Compliance; apply AI and machine learning where they improve outcomes.
- Improve data inputs and resolve gaps in data quality, availability and coverage.
- Test controls against historical data and realistic scenarios, assessing detection coverage, missed activity, false positives and customer impact.
- Release and monitor control changes safely, and adapt capabilities to emerging threats, products, markets and transaction types.
🛠️ Requirements
- 5+ years in product ownership or product management, including end-to-end ownership of a product roadmap at a senior level.
- Strong financial crime experience covering both fraud and money laundering, gained in fintech, banking, payments or another regulated business.
- Hands-on experience building detection capabilities such as rules, models or transaction monitoring systems.
- Experience using AI or automation to reduce manual alert review, for example automated customer outreach, while keeping people on complex cases.
- Strong data skills: you understand where data comes from and how reliable it is, and you can evaluate detection using historical data, coverage and false-positive analysis.
- Experience releasing changes to live controls safely, with testing, staged rollout, monitoring and rollback.
- Excellent stakeholder management, including working with Compliance and control owners through approval processes.
- Experience building or growing a product team is desirable.

We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to build how Capital.com detects and prevents fraud and money laundering as we expand into new financial products and markets.
You will own the roadmap for fraud prevention and transaction monitoring. That covers the rules, models and systems that flag risky activity, and the tools teams use to review it. You’ll use AI to clear routine alerts automatically, so people can focus on the cases that need a person. You’ll work closely with Compliance, Operations, Data, Engineering and the Financial Investigation Unit. Because this is a new capability, you’ll shape it from the ground up and, over time, build the team that runs it.
