About the job
Program Manager with a solid background in the mining industry to lead and coordinate strategic initiatives in Central America. The role oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple interrelated mining projects: spanning exploration, development, operations readiness, stakeholder engagement, and institutional relations and also ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and local community expectations.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end program management for mining initiatives in Central America, integrating exploration, technical studies, permitting, and operational readiness workstreams.
Define program scope, objectives, milestones, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
Coordinate cross-functional teams (geology, engineering, environmental, legal, finance, community relations) and external consultants.
Manage relationships with government authorities, regulators, and local institutions to advance permits, concessions, and policy engagement.
Drive community and stakeholder engagement programs aligned with social license and ESG commitments.
Monitor program risks, dependencies, and critical path; implement mitigation plans and escalate issues to the steering committee.
Establish governance, reporting cadences, and KPIs across projects; produce executive-level updates.
Oversee program budgets, capital expenditure tracking, and vendor/contract management.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, international mining standards, and HSE requirements.
Support execution of the AFCAP VI contract by coordinating task orders, resources, subcontractors, compliance, and performance, while maintaining operational readiness and assuming Program Manager duties when needed.
Oversee the planning, coordination, and optimization of strategic programs for a major global enterprise client, translating account priorities into actionable roadmaps.
Build scalable performance frameworks for Member Experience operations, using analytics, dashboards, vendor partnerships, and continuous improvement to strengthen frontline performance and member outcomes.
Coordinate communication and follow-up activities for a structured online program, using guided systems and digital tools to stay organised while supporting participants and ongoing program operations.
The Leadership Program Coordinator supports communication, follow-up, and coordination across an online program, using established systems and digital tools while working independently and participating in ongoing training.
