- Substantial customer-facing experience, typically 10+ years or a track record showing equivalent depth, as a Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, security consultant, or comparable enterprise technology professional
- Hands-on depth in one or more of the following: Privileged Access Management, Identity and Access Management, zero trust, PKI and certificates, secrets management, or SSH access and key management
- Strong foundations in Linux/Unix and Microsoft Windows operating systems, TCP/IP networking, authentication, authorization, and security fundamentals
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI, and with containerized or hybrid-cloud environments
- A record of designing, documenting, and communicating complex enterprise architectures to audiences ranging from hands-on engineers to C-level executives
- Experience leading technical discovery, demonstrations, workshops, or proofs of concept in large, regulated, security-sensitive, or globally distributed organizations
- Working knowledge of enterprise identity standards and technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID, Okta, LDAP, SAML, OIDC, and certificate-based authentication
- Hands-on scripting or automation using at least one language or tool such as shell, Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible
- Strong written, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, combined with curiosity, sound judgment, personal ownership, and the ability to work independently from a home office
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% on average.

Role:
We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to lead the technical side of complex enterprise sales engagements across the Americas.
You will translate customer security, identity, cloud, and operational requirements into credible, scalable architectures using PrivX and other SSH technologies. As a trusted advisor, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with commercial judgment and communicate confidently with engineers, architects, security leaders, and C-level executives.
What you’ll do
Lead technical discovery with engineering, security, identity, operations, and executive stakeholders. Identify business drivers, risks, requirements, dependencies, and success criteria.
Design and present secure, highly available, and scalable architectures covering privileged access, identity security, SSH access, key and secrets management, non-human identity, hybrid cloud, and zero trust.
Demonstrate the value of our solutions through tailored product demonstrations, technical workshops, executive presentations, and well-scoped proofs of concept with measurable acceptance criteria.
Partner with Account Executives to shape opportunity strategy, assess technical fit, position SSH against alternatives, manage deal risk, and build customer consensus.
Serve as the primary technical contact throughout strategic engagements. Coordinate customers, partners, Sales, Professional Services, Support, Product Management, and R&D.
Lead technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, security questionnaires, architecture assessments, and complex customer objections.
Provide architectural guidance during strategic implementations and escalations.
Create reusable reference architectures, demonstrations, integrations, automation, and technical documentation.
Bring customer and field insights to Product Management and R&D.
Mentor customers and partners while staying current with privileged access management, identity, cloud security, non-human identity, and agentic AI.

Familiarity with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, non-human or workload identity, SPIFFE/SPIRE, or agentic-AI security patterns
Relevant education, practical experience, or security, identity, Kubernetes, or cloud certifications
Compensation & benefits
For candidates based in New York, the expected compensation range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000 USD in annual base salary, plus $20,000 to $50,000 USD in variable compensation.
Actual compensation will depend on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
