This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Education & Events Manager based in United States.

This fully remote role is responsible for planning and delivering conferences, educational programs, meetings, and events for a diverse portfolio of clients.
You’ll manage projects from initial planning and venue selection through onsite execution, evaluation, and post-event reporting.
The position combines strategic planning, detailed logistics, vendor management, budgeting, and client relationship management.
You’ll collaborate with clients, volunteer leaders, internal teams, vendors, contractors, and other partners to deliver successful experiences.
The role offers a fast-paced environment where organization, proactive problem-solving, and strong follow-through are essential.
You’ll manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high service standards, deadlines, budgets, and event quality.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage educational programs, conferences, meetings, and events throughout the complete event lifecycle.

  • Serve as project manager for assigned events, maintaining timelines, deliverables, critical paths, and project-management tasks.

  • Deliver high-quality client service while ensuring events align with client objectives, workplans, and established service standards.

  • Lead project team meetings and internal planning sessions to monitor progress, identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely follow-through.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop practical mitigation strategies for assigned events and educational programs.

  • Support event budget development and maintenance, including expense tracking, billing processes, credit arrangements, and event-related payments.

  • Lead venue and site-selection activities, including preparing and analyzing RFPs, conducting site visits, evaluating options, and presenting recommendations.

  • Research and recommend venues, offsite locations, unique event spaces, and event-related service providers.

  • Evaluate virtual and digital education platforms to ensure they meet program requirements and client objectives.

  • Coordinate event logistics, including accommodations, transportation, facilities, room setups, catering, audiovisual services, signage, displays, printing, entertainment, accessibility needs, and event security.

  • Manage exhibit hall programs when assigned, including exhibitor communications, decorator relationships, technology, and related logistics.

  • Monitor event activities for compliance, participant satisfaction, quality standards, and timely resolution of issues.

  • Collaborate onsite with internal teams, clients, volunteers, vendors, and event staff to ensure smooth execution.

  • Develop and approve final event documentation, including banquet event orders and facility requirements.

  • Prepare detailed event orders of business and support the development of run-of-show documents.

  • Provide expanded supervision and coordination for conference volunteers and staff, including schedules and onsite assignments.

  • Lead post-event activities, including debrief meetings, evaluations, reporting, financial reconciliation, and invoice review.

  • Support conference material preparation, packing, unpacking, and shipping as needed.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

    • At least 5 years of experience in meeting planning and event coordination, including experience managing events with approximately 350 or more attendees.

    • Association or association management company experience is preferred.

    • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification is preferred.

    • Strong project management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to independently manage projects from concept through completion.

    • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to follow-through.

    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events, projects, deadlines, and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

    • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to create positive experiences for clients, volunteers, vendors, and participants.

    • Strong knowledge of event planning terminology, concepts, logistics, and effective educational program design.

    • Ability to assess information, identify potential risks or issues, and develop creative, practical solutions.

    • Adaptable and innovative approach, with an interest in introducing new ideas and approaches within a changing events industry.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related productivity applications.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, volunteers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams while also working independently with minimal supervision.

    • Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude in a busy, deadline-driven environment.

    • Willingness to travel approximately 6–8 times per year for onsite conference and event support.

    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required by client and event schedules.
