๐ Role details: Permanent & full time (40 hours per week)
๐ท Salary: โฌ62,000 - โฌ75,000
๐ Location: Ireland - Remote
Isla Health is a venture-backed health-tech scale-up, supporting partners across the UK, EU and internationally. Weโve built a new category of healthcare technology which we refer to as the Digital Pathway Platform (DPP). Founded in 2019, we now support 25% of NHS Trusts and see 2 million submissions on the platform every year.
As a company, weโre laser focused on enabling a scalable model of care which empowers healthcare staff and improves patient outcomes. The DPP supports this by setting up digital pathways which are remote-first and asynchronous. As pathways harness sophisticated automation, clinical algorithms and intelligent cohorting, patients always take the optimised route through their pathway, thereby delivering a step change in clinical productivity.
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to take ownership of how we structure, manage and use data across Isla.
As our platform scales, we have a huge opportunity to use our data to demonstrate clinical impact, improve our product and help teams make faster decisions. You'll be responsible for building the foundations that make this possible.
This is a broad, highly hands-on role spanning data engineering and analytics. You'll improve our data infrastructure, build reliable pipelines and models, and deliver the analysis, dashboards and reporting that help our teams and healthcare clients make better-informed and faster decisions.
We're looking for someone who can work independently, identify what needs improving and drive work forward without needing detailed direction. You'll work within our Product team, collaborating closely with Engineering on more complex infrastructure and architecture decisions, and with client-facing teams to turn data into meaningful insights. You'll play a key role in shaping our data capability as Isla grows.
Isla's DPP is built using modern cloud technologies, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase, Node.js and TypeScript. We currently use BigQuery for analytics and reporting.
We're open-minded about how our data stack should evolve and are looking for someone with the experience and technical judgement to help us make the right decisions.
We also lean heavily into AI, and you'll be encouraged to explore tools that improve your own productivity and help us build smarter, more efficient workflows.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with strong professional experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, ideally with 5+ years working in data-focused roles. You'll have hands-on experience building and improving data pipelines, modelling complex datasets and delivering meaningful analytics. You'll be comfortable independently owning projects and improving how data is structured, managed and used.
Along that journey, you'll have worked with a variety of technologies and approaches, including:
