AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. This role is for economic impact analysts for state/regulatory pursuits (for example, CA Department of Cannabis Control Economic Impact Assessment RFP 26-001).
What you'll do:
- Lead or support economic impact assessments for state agencies and regulators
- Build transparent impact models (direct/indirect/induced; employment, output, tax, industry effects) with documented assumptions
- Synthesize industry, labor, and administrative data; write policy-ready findings and recommendations
- Present methods and results to agency sponsors and stakeholders
- Contribute economic-impact content and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals (when permissioned)
Requirements
Required:
- Hands-on economic impact assessment, I-O / REMI / IMPLAN (or equivalent) modeling, or state regulatory economic analysis delivery
- Ability to produce reproducible methods, clear limitations, and policy-ready reports
- Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed
Nice to have:
- Prior California state agency or regulated-industry economic analysis
- Cannabis / alcohol / regulated-product market analysis
- Advanced degree in economics, public policy, or related
