- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Tenable architecture and scanners.
- Configure scan zones, repositories, policies, credentials, users, roles, and permissions.
- Define scanning strategies across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Monitor platform health and performance; manage upgrades, plugins, patches, and scanner maintenance.
- Troubleshoot scan, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues.
- Analyze findings, produce reports, automate administration, and support remediation, audits, and compliance.
🛠️ Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Tenable Security Center, Tenable Vulnerability Management/Tenable.io, and Nessus.
- Experience designing or administering enterprise-scale vulnerability management platforms.
- Proven experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Nessus scanners.
- Good understanding of vulnerability management processes, remediation workflows, and risk-based prioritisation.
- Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CIS Benchmarks, security controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience configuring scan policies, scan zones, repositories, credentials, roles, and permissions.
- Basic to intermediate scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data for automation and reporting.
- Exposure to vulnerability scanning in AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience integrating Tenable with ServiceNow, SIEM platforms, Active Directory, or ticketing systems.

Are you an experienced vulnerability management specialist with strong hands-on knowledge of Tenable platforms? For one of our valued clients in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Tenable Architect / Administrator to design, manage, and optimise an enterprise vulnerability scanning environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture and administration of Tenable Security Center, Tenable Vulnerability Management, and Nessus scanners across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will define scanning strategies, maintain platform performance, automate operational tasks, and work with security and infrastructure teams to prioritise and remediate vulnerabilities.
