Full job description

The mission

You will be Valiantys’ global owner of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Developer Experience (DevEx) practice.

Your mandate is to turn Valiantys’ Atlassian, DevOps and AI expertise into differentiated, repeatable and profitable professional services solutions. You will shape the market position, build the offering portfolio, lead global practice uplift and help clients connect people, processes, platforms and AI agents across the software delivery lifecycle.

This is a builder role for a leader who combines technical depth, consulting discipline, commercial acumen and executive presence. You will help clients move beyond isolated tool requests to clear, pragmatic transformation roadmaps that deliver measurable business value.

We are looking for someone based on East Coast time zone.

What you will own

  • Define and execute the global SDLC/DevEx practice strategy and business plan.

  • Build and lead a network of regional Practice Leads across EMEA, North America and APAC.

  • Create differentiated, go-to-market-ready offerings, Solution Blueprints, IP, accelerators and delivery playbooks.

  • Productise regional delivery experience to improve sales velocity, delivery quality, reuse and margin.

  • Lead executive client conversations with CTO, VP Engineering, CISO and equivalent stakeholders.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Professional Services and Managed Services to generate and close strategic opportunities.

  • Lead structured discovery and gap analysis, translating business needs and maturity gaps into compelling modernisation visions and roadmaps.

  • Drive adoption of global standards, asset reuse and continuous improvement across regional teams.

  • Build practitioner capability through enablement, certifications, mentorship and knowledge management.

  • Maintain a strong market point of view on SDLC, DevEx, DevOps and emerging AI capabilities.

Practice focus

You will shape solutions across:

  • DevOps and CI/CD modernisation

  • Developer Experience and developer flow optimisation

  • Agentic AI and AI-assisted software development

  • SDLC governance, standardisation and quality engineering

  • Atlassian Software Collection adoption and enterprise SDLC modernisation

What success looks like

You will build a recognised global practice that:

  • Has a clear, differentiated portfolio of packaged and sellable solutions.

  • Converts expertise into repeatable IP and high-quality delivery.

  • Helps regional teams win and deliver strategic SDLC/DevEx engagements.

  • Creates measurable client value while supporting Valiantys’ growth and Next Generation revenue ambition.

  • Establishes Valiantys as a credible leader in AI-enabled software delivery transformation.

Required Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of experience in professional services, technology consulting, or enterprise software - with a significant portion spent in SDLC, DevOps, developer experience, or engineering tooling.

  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling a professional services practice or solution line, including the creation of repeatable offerings, IP assets, and delivery playbooks.

  • Commercially driven, with experience partnering across Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and Managed Services to generate and close pipeline.

  • Deep familiarity with AI as it applies to software development - ideally including hands-on exposure to agentic AI tools, AI-assisted development pipelines, or AI-augmented DevOps.

  • Experience engaging at CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent level - as a thought leader who positions strategy and business value, not just a technical advisor.

  • Deep Atlassian ecosystem knowledge including the Software Collection and its role in SDLC modernization - Jira Software, Bitbucket, Compass, Confluence, and adjacent tools. Familiarity with how the Software Collection is positioned and deployed across enterprise environments is essential. Atlassian partner certifications are a strong advantage.

  • Experience operating across EMEA, AMER, and APAC - with a track record of driving adoption of global standards across distributed regional teams.

  • Proven ability to lead structured discovery and gap analysis workshops - capturing business needs, identifying SDLC maturity gaps, and translating findings into a compelling modernization vision and roadmap.
