The Position

Savas Labs is hiring a Senior UX/UI Designer who is fluent in AI to lead the full design lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through UX, visual design, and prototyping, across client product and website projects. This role sits where human-centered design meets AI-augmented work. We are looking for someone with deep expertise specifically within the strategy and UX disciplines who uses AI as a core part of the design process, not as an add-on.

You’ll use AI to explore more ideas, prototype faster, and hand developers work that’s closer to production. You’ll also bring the taste and judgement to know when a tool improves the work and when human craft (and your own expertise) needs to lead. As a senior member of the team, you’ll lead client relationships on your own, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and contribute to how AI will be integrated into our design team and processes. You’re a proactive communicator, detail oriented, and a builder who takes full ownership of your work and project outcomes.

Compensation

$90,000 - $110,000

What you'd do

• Lead the full design lifecycle, from strategy and discovery through UX, visual design, and prototyping, across websites and digital products
• Run stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions independently: user journey mapping, goal setting, project requirements definition, prioritization
• Conduct user research and usability audits: define information architecture, user flows and sitemaps, and perform accessibility and UX audits
• Produce wireframes, high-fidelity visual design, UI systems, and production-ready prototypes
• Treat AI as a collaborator across research, ideation and execution. Build repeatable workflows, check AI out critically, and hold a high bar for quality
• Serve as the primary design voice in client meetings: present and defend design decisions with clarity and confidence
• Support business development with design approaches, estimates, proposals and quick prototypes that help win work

About you

You have:

• 6–10+ years of design experience, with meaningful time in an agency or consultancy environment
• A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end work spanning strategy, UX, and visual design across multiple project types
• Demonstrated experience independently leading client workshops, presentations, and stakeholder alignment
• Experience producing high-quality visual design and UI systems alongside UX deliverables
• Hands-on experience using AI design and prototyping tools in real client or production work, not just experimenting. Be ready to show how AI has changed your process.
• Experience collaborating with developers using specs, documentation, and code-adjacent prototypes

• Designs for scale: sees the big picture across user needs, business goals, and systems; builds components, patterns, and workflows that stay consistent across projects; works across strategy, UX, visual design, and AI tooling while switching between 2–4+ projects in a week; brings teammates up to speed on what works
• Ownership of outcomes: treats what ships as a personal responsibility; questions assumptions (including the AI's) and pokes holes in their own work; raises risks before they become blockers; stays steady under pressure and advocates for the right solution even when it's the harder one

Professional knowledge:

• Usability — deep, practical fluency with usability best practices across web and app contexts
• Websites and apps — working knowledge of how CMSes, websites, and apps are built; designs with development constraints in mind
• Accessibility — understands inclusive design and WCAG 2.2+ guidelines and their practical impact on design decisions
• AI tools — hands-on, current fluency with AI-powered design, prototyping, and generative tools, and their appropriate professional use
