- Define and drive the organizational and technical strategy for AI Foundations and Proactive Experiences.
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization composed of senior engineers and tech leads.
- Partner with Product, Design, Research, and Data Science to shape the roadmap for proactive and assistive experiences.
- Lead the development of foundational AI capabilities for context-aware and anticipatory experiences.
- Drive execution on a multi-year roadmap for building reusable AI capabilities across Pinterest's product ecosystem.
- Raise the bar on engineering excellence, including system reliability and operational health.
🛠️ Requirements
- Significant experience leading engineering teams in AI/ML, personalization, or consumer-facing AI systems at scale.
- Proven success as a senior engineering leader managing managers and senior technical leaders.
- Strong track record of driving strategy and execution for large-scale, technically complex organizations.
- Experience with foundation model integration, personalization, agentic systems, or generative AI.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and convert opportunities into clear roadmaps.
- Strong product and business judgment balancing long-term investments with near-term impacts.
- Excellent partnership skills with PM, Design, Data Science, and peer engineering leaders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
