Outsourcing Staffing Advantage. We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent qualified physician to support our telehealth operations by conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, reviewing medical histories, assessing symptoms, identifying potential medical conditions, and providing appropriate clinical recommendations.

The ideal candidate must possess strong clinical judgment, extensive medical knowledge, and the ability to evaluate patient symptoms, understand medical conditions, and determine appropriate treatment options, including medication selection and prescribing when authorized by applicable medical licensing requirements.

This role requires hands-on clinical expertise rather than traditional administrative medical assistance. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed patient assessments, reviewing medications and existing diagnoses, identifying potential health concerns, and ensuring patients receive accurate and appropriate medical attention.

Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the first point of contact for patients during the telehealth consultation process, conducting comprehensive medical evaluations and clinical assessments.
    • Collect and accurately document patient demographics, medical history, previous surgeries, current diagnoses, allergies, medications, and existing medical conditions.
    • Evaluate patient symptoms, including their severity, duration, frequency, and potential underlying causes, using strong clinical judgment and medical knowledge.
    • Conduct detailed patient assessments and ask appropriate follow-up questions to identify potential diagnoses and determine the patient's medical needs.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, common diseases, and medications, including their indications, dosages, contraindications, and potential side effects.
    • Assess patients' medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment options based on their symptoms, medical history, and clinical findings.
    • Recommend and prescribe appropriate medications, including determining dosages and treatment plans, when legally authorized under applicable medical licensing and prescribing requirements.
    • Review current medications, identify potential drug interactions, and evaluate whether treatment adjustments may be necessary.
    • Identify warning signs, urgent medical conditions, and symptoms that require immediate medical attention or further evaluation.
    • Review laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and previous medical records to support accurate clinical assessments and treatment recommendations.
    • Enter all patient information, clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations into the medical documentation system with a high level of accuracy.
    • Prepare comprehensive medical records and clinical summaries to ensure continuity of care and effective communication with other healthcare professionals.
    • Maintain detailed and confidential medical documentation while complying with HIPAA and applicable healthcare privacy standards.
    • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, explaining medical conditions, treatment recommendations, and medication instructions clearly.
    • Stay up to date with U.S. healthcare terminology, clinical guidelines, common medications, treatment protocols, and medical documentation standards.

Requirements

    • Medical degree (MD, MBBS, or equivalent) from an accredited medical institution.
    • Previous clinical experience as a Medical Doctor, General Practitioner, Primary Care Physician, or in a similar patient care role.
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and common medical conditions.
    • Ability to conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, assess symptoms, identify potential diagnoses, and recommend appropriate treatment options.
    • Extensive knowledge of commonly prescribed medications in the United States, including their indications, dosages, contraindications, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
    • Experience evaluating and managing common medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory infections, cardiovascular diseases, and other acute or chronic illnesses.
    • Ability to review medical histories, laboratory results, diagnostic reports, and existing treatment plans to support clinical decision-making.
    • Experience with medication management, treatment recommendations, and prescribing medications within the professional's legally authorized scope of practice.
    • Strong clinical judgment and ability to recognize urgent symptoms, medical emergencies, and situations requiring immediate physician intervention.
    • Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) systems and accurately documenting patient consultations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
    • Proficient in eClinicalWorks (ECW) strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with U.S. healthcare practices, clinical guidelines, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA regulations.
    • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain medical conditions and treatment recommendations clearly to patients.
    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple patient evaluations in a remote healthcare environment.
    • Comfortable conducting virtual patient consultations and working with telehealth platforms.
    • Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Experience with medical billing and coding processes.
  • Experience using Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, Epic, NextGen, AdvancedMD, or similar platforms.
  • Medical Assistant certification or healthcare-related education (preferred but not required).
