The role
You’ll own how People Operations runs in every country we operate in, today and as we expand. That means payroll closes under control, data we can trust, and processes nobody has to chase.
You’ll report to our Head of People and lead a team of People Ops Specialists, with an Ops Specialist supporting you on the technical side of our tools.
What you’ll do
Make payroll accurate and reliable in every country: choose, manage and, when needed, replace our local providers, and own the monthly close (calendar, cut-offs, pre- and post-run checks, reconciliation with Finance)
Own our HRIS (HiBob) as our single source of truth, and its connection to payroll in every country
Run the employee lifecycle, benefits and ESOP administration across Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Bulgaria and every new market we open
Keep each country compliant: map the risks, decide what to fix first and track it to closure
Design processes and data with measurement in mind, and use AI to remove manual work
Lead and grow the team
What you bring
Solid experience in HR or People Operations, owning processes end to end, including the Italian employment framework
Hands-on experience running payroll through external providers: month-end close, controls, reconciliations and provider management
Experience owning an HRIS and connecting it to payroll (e.g. HiBob with JetHR, PayFit, Deel)
A track record of automating HR processes, with concrete AI use cases you can walk us through
Fluent Italian and English
Nice to have
HR operations experience outside Italy
Hands-on experience with HiBob

What we offer
Salary: €55,000–65,000 gross per year
Hybrid work: at least three days a week in our Milan HQ, with flexibility

Leads the people function across recruiting, employee experience, HR compliance, performance, and workforce planning while building scalable systems and a positive workplace culture.
Own and improve EMEA employee lifecycle operations, from onboarding and payroll inputs to benefits and offboarding, while strengthening compliance, data quality, and scalable People processes.
Leads AI-enabled People transformation by redesigning workflows, prototyping automation, and partnering with People and IT leaders to scale cross-functional solutions and improve operational capacity.
Own the employee lifecycle and HR operations, from onboarding and compliance to employee records and manager guidance, while improving people processes in a growing organization.
Leads the employee and workplace experience function, shaping the employee lifecycle, internal communications, employer brand, DEI strategy, and workplace programs while managing a small team and measuring impact.
