SUMMARY
Provide essential professional support for the lifecycle design, cross-platform integration, and long-term engineering sustainment of United States Navy enterprise software applications and fleet training infrastructure. Align complex technical architecture to evolve FTM workflows, ensuring seamless interoperability across target environments, and maintaining strict compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DoN) cybersecurity policies. Act as a bridge between operational requirements and technical implementation. Ensure mission-critical fleet training systems remain robust, scalable, secure, and fully operational.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop, analyze, and update highly detailed system requirements, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system design specifications, and multi-layered architecture diagrams mapping software and infrastructure linkages.
· Support cross-platform system integration efforts across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid Navy environments.
· Translate operational fleet training requirements into functional and technical system designs.
· Ensure compatibility and interoperability across applications, interfaces, data flows, and supporting infrastructure.
· Plan, coordinate, and execute full-lifecycle system integration, verification, and end-to-end validation procedures; maintain rigid configuration baselines across development, staging, and production networks.
· Architect, monitor, and troubleshoot secure cross-program data flows moving between core FTM data repositories, external legacy interfaces (such as FLTMPS), and authoritative fleet readiness dashboards (Tableau, Databricks, Qlik, and others).
· Support development and management of standard Risk Management Framework (RMF) artifacts, including Security Assessment Plans, Security Control Tracking Matrices (SCTM), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and continuous monitoring controls assessments.
· Rapidly diagnose and remediate Tier 3 complex technical failures spanning enterprise hardware networks, SAN storage, cluster virtualization layers, cloud platforms, and distributed application software.
· Conduct engineering analyses to maintain long-term system stability, scalability, and performance.
· Support upgrades, modernization initiatives, risk mitigation strategies, and configuration management activities.
· Identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective technical solutions supporting continuous improvement.
· Act as a liaison between functional stakeholders, developers, cybersecurity personnel, and Government customers.
· Communicate system capabilities, constraints, and impacts to both technical and operational audiences.
· Participate in engineering reviews, design walkthroughs, and requirements validation sessions.
· Support test planning and execution to validate functionality, performance, and security requirements.
· Maintain accurate system diagrams, interface specifications, engineering documents, and sustainment guides.
· Ensure mission-critical availability through monitoring, issue resolution, and reliability engineering best practices.
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
