As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you'll manage database and marketing activities, focusing on campaign optimization, data accuracy, and stakeholder communication.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Data & Insights Contractor based in the United States.
This role provides project-based support across marketing analytics, reporting, data quality, and data integration initiatives.
You’ll help strengthen marketing data infrastructure and improve how performance is measured across programs and channels.
The position combines hands-on analytics with stakeholder collaboration, documentation, and data quality work.
You’ll translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
The role works cross-functionally with marketing, fundraising, technology, and regional teams.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract expected to run for approximately 6–8 months.
The scope will evolve with organizational priorities, offering variety and opportunities to contribute across multiple data initiatives.
Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses supporting national and regional marketing programs.
Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, KPIs, data sources, business rules, and reporting schedules.
Analyze marketing performance and communicate actionable findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
Support initiatives involving CRM, email, web analytics, paid media, social media, fundraising data, data warehouses, integrations, and related platforms.
Perform data validation, quality assurance, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
Create and maintain data dictionaries, business glossaries, standard operating procedures, data-flow documentation, and reporting guidance.
Provide flexible project support across marketing analytics, measurement, reporting, data governance, and technology initiatives.
Gather requirements, coordinate deliverables, identify issues, and support implementation in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Take on additional marketing data and insights projects as priorities evolve throughout the contract.
3–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, digital analytics, reporting, data strategy, or a related discipline.
Experience with data visualization and reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or comparable tools.
Working knowledge of marketing data ecosystems, including CRM, email, web analytics, paid media, social media, and/or fundraising data.
Experience with data quality, validation, documentation, and/or data governance practices.
Ability to translate business questions and complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project, time, and task management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable learning new systems and adjusting to changing project requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
Strong analytical rigor, attention to detail, technical curiosity, and a solution-oriented mindset.
A collaborative, relationship-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Nonprofit or multi-channel marketing experience is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree in analytics, marketing, communications, information technology, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
$40 per hour compensation.
Full-time, 40-hour-per-week contract engagement.
