This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Area Sales Director, Enterprise (Auth0) based in the United States.
The Area Sales Director will lead a high-performing team of enterprise Account Executives responsible for driving growth across a strategic regional market. This leadership role combines people development, sales strategy, pipeline generation, forecasting, and execution against ambitious business targets. You will build an accountable, collaborative sales culture while coaching sellers to improve productivity and consistently deliver results. The role focuses on enterprise technology buyers across engineering, product, security, architecture, and executive leadership teams. You will shape territory strategy, identify new growth opportunities, and strengthen relationships across enterprise accounts and partners. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced sales leader to scale an enterprise SaaS business while developing a strong and empowered team.
Accountabilities:

- Set clear expectations, lead by example, provide ongoing coaching, and ensure consistent execution of sales standards and processes.
- Drive the team toward consistently achieving and exceeding regional revenue and sales targets.
- Analyze sales performance, market dynamics, and business data to identify opportunities for growth and improve team productivity.
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting for the assigned region, maintaining accurate pipeline coverage, average selling price, and other key performance metrics.
- Develop and execute comprehensive enterprise business plans that balance near-term revenue delivery with long-term regional growth.
- Design sales structures, processes, resource plans, and territory strategies to capture opportunities across target markets, enterprise accounts, partners, and industry verticals.
- Own the regional pipeline generation strategy and collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute against growth objectives.
- Maintain strong market intelligence and translate industry trends into strategies that strengthen market position and expand enterprise opportunities.
- Develop and communicate a long-term vision and growth strategy while ensuring consistent operational execution.
- Complete in-person onboarding in the Chicago office during the first week of employment and travel as required for the role.
- 10+ years of experience building and leading enterprise sales teams within the software industry.
- 3+ years of experience as a frontline sales leader with direct responsibility for sales teams and business results.
- Deep understanding of SaaS and cloud go-to-market models and the roles required to build effective customer engagement strategies.
- Relevant experience in areas such as IT systems, cloud or enterprise infrastructure, application development and management, security, business applications, or analytics.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and business objectives both individually and as a leader.
- Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to establish effective partnerships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of consultative and solution-selling methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, Solution Selling, or Sandler.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience engaging senior executives, including CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders.
- Ability to coach and motivate sales professionals, resolve conflicts quickly, and create an empowered, high-accountability environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate sales data and market intelligence into actionable plans.
- Annual On Target Compensation (OTE) of $360,000–$495,000 USD for candidates located in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
- OTE combines base salary and incentive compensation, with actual compensation depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
