Do you love helping business owners make better financial decisions—and seeing those decisions translate into real business results?

We’re looking for an experienced CFO who has worked directly with business owners, not just managed the numbers from behind the scenes.

At HTM, our CFOs build the kind of kitchen-table relationship with business owners that creates honest, practical conversations about what is really happening in the business.

You’ll help owners answer questions like:

• Where are we really making money?
• How can we improve our margins?
• Why isn’t our cash flow where it should be?
• What expenses need to change?
• How do we grow without losing financial control?
• What needs to happen to make this business more profitable?

Most importantly, we want a CFO who can point to real examples where their financial leadership helped a business become more profitable.

THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL ACCOUNTING ROLE

You won’t be responsible for simply closing the books or producing reports.

You’ll serve as a strategic financial partner to approximately 30 growing law firms, helping business owners understand their numbers, identify opportunities, make better decisions, and improve the financial performance of their businesses.

HTM provides the clients, systems, and infrastructure. You do the CFO work—you don't have to spend your time finding the next client.

No cold calling.
No prospecting.
No chasing engagements.

And you do not need legal industry experience.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of experience serving as a CFO
• Direct experience working with small and mid-sized business owners
• Experience advising businesses generally in the $1M–$35M+ revenue range
• A demonstrated track record of improving profitability and financial performance
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins, cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
• Ability to translate financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for owners
• Experience managing multiple client relationships is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to have candid conversations with business owners

We're not looking for someone whose experience has been limited to corporate finance, financial reporting, controllership, or FP&A.
