Get to Know the Team

At Grab Financial Services Philippines, our team is responsible for the complete lifecycle of lending activities, from conceptualization to ongoing management across various markets and segments — spanning consumer, S/MSME, and secured lending portfolios.

The Country Credit Risk & Collections Team works alongside the Regional Credit Risk & Collections team to:

• Implement credit risk and collections policies and procedures locally.
• Raise and address country-specific nuances and solutions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and collections effectiveness against set goals.
• Perform tasks across credit strategy, portfolio growth, credit policy, and collections oversight.
• Develop country-specific credit risk and collections frameworks and align them with regional strategies.
• Collaborate with the Data Science team on credit models, provisioning, and risk methodologies.

Get to Know the Role

As Manager, Credit Risk & Collections, you will be playing a crucial part in managing our end-to-end credit risk and collections capability across secured, consumer, and S/MSME lending portfolios. This is a hybrid role spanning both credit risk and collections, anchored in secured lending but deliberately generalist in scope — you will manage risk and collections across the full breadth of the portfolio.

This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your career while contributing to Grab's expansion. You'll report directly to the Head of Credit Risk & Collections, PH. The role is based onsite at our Ortigas Grab office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Own end-to-end credit risk management across the portfolio — underwriting strategy, portfolio performance, loan loss provisioning, and model oversight.
• Build and manage the risk and collections framework for secured lending, including collateral, recovery, and repossession considerations.
• Provide collections oversight across the lifecycle — early-stage, late-stage, and recovery — and align collections strategy with portfolio risk appetite.
• Manage the consumer and S/MSME lending portfolios alongside the secured book.
• Lead the analysis of portfolio and collections data using Python, SQL, and other tools to identify opportunities and risks.
• Coordinate with Regional Credit Risk & Collections, Commercial, Analytics, Data Science, and other relevant departments; develop and implement country-specific credit and collections frameworks and partnerships.
• Establish performance metrics and provide insights to enhance credit and collections models.
• Write and update credit risk and collections policies; design reports and dashboards to measure portfolio and collections performance.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 8+ years in credit risk management, portfolio management, collections, and credit policy across the lending lifecycle. Experience in first- and/or second-line credit risk is required.
• Secured lending experience is a key requirement — hands-on experience managing secured loan portfolios (auto lending strongly preferred), including collateral, provisioning, and recovery. Experience across unsecured consumer/retail loans and credit cards is also valued.
• End-to-end credit risk depth: proven oversight of underwriting, portfolio optimization, loan loss provisioning, model governance, and loss-budget management.
• Collections capability: demonstrated experience overseeing or partnering with collections functions across early-stage through recovery.
• Data Analysis Proficiency: expertise in Python and SQL for data analysis; knowledge of FICO platforms, or R an advantage; strong data query/manipulation and visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI).
• Analytical Skillset: ability to collect, organize, and analyze large data volumes accurately, including data mining and segmentation.
• Regulatory Experience: experience managing regulatory approvals and other related regulatory compliance activities.
• Integrity and Leadership: reliability, accountability, and leadership, operating as a senior member of the Credit Risk & Collections, PH team.
