Efficio is looking for a commercially minded and hands-on HR Business Partner to support our growing US business. This is an opportunity to become a trusted adviser to senior leaders, managers and employees, and to turn business priorities into practical, people-focused solutions.
You will combine strategic business partnering with hands-on delivery across employee relations, performance, organisational change, employment-law compliance and employee experience. The role is based in either New York or Chicago. New York-based colleagues are expected in the New York office three days per week. Chicago-based colleagues will travel to the New York office for one week each month.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

Build trusted relationships with US leaders, managers and employees, acting as their first point of contact for people matters.

Translate business plans, workforce needs and organisational risks into clear, practical people plans.

Coach managers through team dynamics, feedback, employee development and sensitive conversations.
Employee Relations & Compliance

Manage employee relations matters with sound judgement, appropriate documentation, confidentiality and consistency.

Provide practical guidance on applicable US federal, state and local employment law, company policy and HR best practice; engage Legal or external counsel where needed.

Support managers on performance, conduct, probation, grievance, leave and reasonable-accommodation matters.
People Programmes & Employee Experience

Partner with Talent Acquisition, Finance and the global People team on workforce planning, talent, reward and organisational change initiatives.

Use people data and employee feedback to identify trends, mitigate risks and improve the employee experience.

Contribute to scalable policies, processes, manager guidance and local engagement initiatives across the US business.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
