The role
As a Senior Accountant / Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance for Finland. You will work closely with both the local Nordic team and Group Finance while contributing to continuous process improvements. As such, strong knowledge of Finnish regulations is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
โจ Lead and oversee the monthly closing process
โจ Ensure compliance with Finnish statutory requirements
โจ Prepare and review financial statements (IFRS + local GAAP)
โจ Perform and review general ledger postings and reconciliations
โจ Support tax filings and statutory reporting
โจ Ensure accurate reporting to the Group Finance in the Netherlands
โจ Manage cash flow and liquidity forecasts
โจ Prepare annual reports and financial statements
โจ Work closely with Nordic Finance and our accounting team in Poland
โจ Drive process improvements and automation
โจ Support audits, ad-hoc analyses, and projects with the Finance Director
What You Bring
โ Bachelorโs degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
โ 6+ years of accounting experience
โ 2+ years of financial controlling experience
โ Fluency in Finnish, plus English
โ Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
โ Solid understanding of Finnish regulations
โ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC is a plus
โ Background in customs or logistics is beneficial
