Position Overview
We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a staff-augmentation team supporting a fast-moving SaaS data platform working through a significant post-acquisition data backlog. You'll combine strong technical expertise with ownership and sound engineering judgment — designing and building scalable, reliable pipelines on a modern Snowflake/dbt/Airflow stack while understanding the broader business objectives behind them. This is a high-visibility seat: you'll be evaluated directly against incumbent contractor performance in your first 60 days, with strong, self-directed delivery translating into a long-term dedicated placement.

Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and platform modernization
Mentor other engineers through code review and technical guidance, raising the technical bar of the broader team
Proactively flag risks and performance issues, and help shape the platform's forward-looking AI/ML data capabilities
