Head of Digital

Office based, with hybrid working in line with Belong's Hybrid Working Policy

THE OPPORTUNITY

Belong is looking for a Head of Digital to lead the next stage of our digital and technology journey.

This is a senior leadership role with a genuinely broad remit. You'll lead our Digital and Technology Strategy and help shape how technology, systems, data, insight and AI are used across Belong to improve the way we work and, ultimately, the quality of care and support we provide.

We're looking for somebody who can think strategically but still understands what good delivery looks like in practice.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Reporting to our Chief Finance Officer, you'll provide digital, technology and data leadership across the organisation, working closely with our Board, Executive Team and operational leaders.

You'll lead our Technology and Digital team, with responsibility across areas including IT infrastructure, cyber security, systems, data and digital transformation.

• Developing and delivering Belong's Digital and Technology Strategy.
• Leading organisation-wide digital transformation and change.
• Making sure our systems, technology and data are secure, resilient and genuinely fit for purpose.
• Helping Belong make better use of data, analytics and insight to support decision-making.
• Supporting the responsible introduction of predictive analytics and AI.
• Providing strategic advice to our Board and Executive Team on technology, risk, investment and emerging opportunities.
• Overseeing major digital and technology projects from implementation through to adoption and benefits realisation.
• Developing strong digital governance, cyber security and data protection arrangements.
• Building capability and confidence across our Technology and Digital team and the wider organisation.

This isn't about introducing technology for technology's sake. We want somebody who can understand what our teams need, challenge where appropriate and make sure digital investment translates into better outcomes for the people who live and work with Belong.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

You might already be a Head of Digital, Head of Technology, Head of IT, Digital Transformation Lead or working in a similar senior role and ready for a broader opportunity.

What matters most is that you can demonstrate significant experience leading digital, technology or transformation functions and that you're comfortable operating at both strategic and operational level.

You'll bring strong experience of:

• Developing and delivering digital or technology strategies.
• Leading technology-enabled organisational change.
• IT services, infrastructure and business systems.
• Data and analytics at a leadership level.
• Leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Working with senior stakeholders, Executives or Boards.
• Balancing long-term strategy with the realities of day-to-day delivery.
• Communicating complex digital and technology issues in a way that people can actually understand.

Experience within social care, healthcare or another regulated environment would be particularly useful, as would experience overseeing AI, analytics or major system implementations.

A full driving licence is essential as the role requires regular travel to Belong Villages.

You must be eligible to work in the UK.
