About Belle

Belle is redefining how Medicare beneficiaries experience healthcare — and it starts with their feet. Our unique model combines in-home foot care people love with telehealth, ongoing screenings, and care management, turning a welcome visit into a powerful platform for preventive care.

Our people make that model possible. In the past 12 months, we’ve grown from 67 to 152 employees — and we expect to more than double again. We’ve done this in just one state, Georgia. With geographic expansion planned for 2027, recruiting great people, preparing them to deliver exceptional care, and developing strong managers will be critical to our success.

There’s a lot to build, and it’s going to be a fun ride.

The Role

We’re hiring a Director of HR & Compliance to help Belle scale its workforce, strengthen its managers, and expand confidently into new states.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll lead our HR Generalist, establish our first Recruiting Specialist role, and partner closely with leadership and credentialing. You’ll own HR operations and employment compliance while coordinating broader compliance responsibilities with internal leaders and external experts.

This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll translate growth plans into people priorities while ensuring everyday operations run smoothly. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building practical processes, developing teams, and navigating the complexity of a growing healthcare workforce.

What You’ll Do

Recruiting, Training & Performance

  • Translate growth plans into workforce forecasts, hiring priorities, and recruiting capacity.
  • Build our recruiting function and hire and develop our first Recruiting Specialist.
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to create consistent onboarding and training, with clear measures of employee readiness.
  • Lead performance reviews, ongoing feedback, and performance improvement processes.
  • Equip managers to coach employees, set expectations, and address concerns effectively.

HR Operations & Employee Experience

  • Own the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefits, payroll, leave management, and offboarding.
  • Run accurate, timely weekly payroll and partner with accounting on reconciliations and tax filings.
  • Build Rippling workflows that reduce manual work and support consistent employee experiences.
  • Handle escalated employee relations, workers’ compensation, and disability matters with empathy and sound judgment.
  • Maintain reliable people data, role definitions, and organizational reporting.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Own employment compliance and lead HR readiness for expansion into new states, partnering with counsel as needed.
  • Monitor employment requirements and translate them into clear policies and manager guidance.
  • Partner with operational, clinical, and credentialing leaders on workforce-related payer requirements, audits, and certifications.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, assigned insurance policies, annual reporting, and risk documentation.
  • Establish clear compliance responsibilities, deadlines, and escalation paths.

Leadership & Culture

  • Manage and develop the HR team as Belle grows.
  • Advise leadership on people strategy, organizational design, and workforce risks.
  • Use hiring, retention, performance, and employee feedback data to guide improvements.
  • Build a culture of accountability, respect, and compassionate care.

Requirements

You Might Be a Fit If You:

  • Have HR leadership experience within a healthcare provider organization, particularly serving Medicare beneficiaries.
  • Bring experience with healthcare regulatory compliance and workforce credentialing.
  • Understand multi-state employment requirements and can prepare an organization for geographic expansion.
  • Have supported a distributed and/or hourly healthcare workforce.
  • Have scaled recruiting, onboarding, manager development, or performance management.
  • Bring hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, employee relations, and leave administration.
  • Are a strong people manager who can move comfortably between strategy and execution.
  • Exercise excellent judgment, communicate clearly, and make complex processes simple.

Benefits

Why Join Belle?

  • Meaningful ownership and direct partnership with the CEO during a pivotal stage of growth.
  • A mission-driven team working at the intersection of technology and compassionate care.
  • Remote work with flexibility and autonomy.
  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k), PTO, sick time, and paid holidays.
