Revamp is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee the delivery of the substation and interconnection engineering within our utility-scale renewable projects. You will manage multiple simultaneous projects and own scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. You will read contract and proposal language, interpret what it means for the delivery of complex interconnection and substation projects, and give clients and internal teams clear direction and feedback on scope. You will actively orchestrate cross-disciplinary collaboration across our electrical, civil, structural, and power systems engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and with a high level of accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities

Core Functional Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Interpret substation contract, proposal, and scope language and confirm what is included in the delivered scope.
• Lead multiple substation and interconnection projects concurrently, including complex projects with multi-discipline scopes.
• Manage internal engineering resources as well as the work of external subconsultants.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and change requests through to resolution.
• Identify project risks, scope changes, and schedule impacts early, and drive them to a decision.
• Prepare, track, and submit monthly project invoicing.
• Apply standard project management procedures with independent professional judgment.

Collaboration & Communication

• Using a strong understanding of the technical elements of each project, serve as the day-to-day reference point for the project team, routing technical questions to the right party.
• Coordinate civil, electrical, power systems studies, and structural discipline leads to sequence work and meet deliverable dates.
• Work with technical leads to plan detailed aspects of engineering work and resource assignments.

Quality, Standards & Compliance

• Review Revamp deliverables for conformity to client expectations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Confirm that project execution meets client requirements, utility standards, and applicable jurisdictional requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records so equipment information and correspondence are filed and retrievable by the team.

Client Interface & Business Development

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.
• Lead project meetings with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
• Present project status, risks, and technical issues clearly to client stakeholders.
• Contribute scope definition, budget, and schedule inputs to proposals.

Mentorship & People Leadership

• Assign and direct work for engineering discipline team members on assigned projects.
• Mentor project engineers and less experienced project staff on delivery practices and client interaction.
• Share substation delivery knowledge with the broader project management team so the group builds depth over time.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned or directed.
• Driving to job sites and other locations is an essential function of this position. Requires a valid driver's license, eligibility to rent from commercial vehicle rental agencies, and an MVR that meets Revamp's insurability standards, verified after a conditional offer and periodically thereafter.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Required

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a closely related field, or similar applicable work experience.
• Five or more years of project management experience in engineering consulting, EPC construction, renewable energy, or a comparable industry.
• Direct experience delivering high voltage projects, such as substation, interconnection, or transmission work, as a project manager or project engineer.
• Ability to read substation, transmission and other medium/high-voltage project contract and proposal terms and explain their delivery implications to internal teams and clients.
• Demonstrated ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, and invoicing.
• Confident, credible communication with technical client stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and resolve complex project issues with limited direction.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time, including overnight trips, to support project sites, client meetings, and team events.
• Ability to rent and drive a vehicle for business purposes, including maintaining a valid driver’s license and required auto insurance.

Preferred

• Prior substation engineering experience before moving into project management, in any relevant discipline including electrical and structural.
• Experience at a design-build or substation engineering and construction firm.
• Greenfield substation project experience.
• PMP certification.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and subconsultants.
• Familiarity with the utility-scale renewable energy project development lifecycle.
