As a Technical Account Manager, you will serve as the primary technical and strategic partner for customers, driving adoption and resolving challenges while ensuring their success with Comet's AI platform.
Technical Partnership Manager
📜 Description
- Own a portfolio of technology and integration partners end to end: sourcing, evaluation, technical scoping, launch, and ongoing growth.
- Identify and size partnership opportunities using shared merchant overlap, attach rate, revenue impact, and build-and-maintain cost.
- Lead technical discovery with partners to scope viable integrations and flag risks early.
- Translate partner opportunities into written specs and business cases for Product.
- Partner with Marketing to turn every launch into demand through co-marketing and joint content.
- Build the enablement layer for Sales, Solutions, and Support to confidently sell and service integrations.
🛠️ Requirements
- 4+ years in technical partnerships, partner/solutions engineering, technical account management, product marketing, or a similar role where you owned both a commercial outcome and a technical conversation.
- You're technical enough to be dangerous: comfortable reading API docs, reasoning about webhooks and data flows, poking at a sandbox, and holding your own with a partner's engineering team.
- You've sized an opportunity and talked your own team out of a partnership. You know that a long partner list isn't the same as revenue.
- Experience in ecommerce or martech is strongly preferred; Shopify ecosystem experience is a real advantage.
- You write well. Specs, business cases, and partner briefs are the job, not the overhead.
- You've influenced a product roadmap without owning it, and you can explain how.
- High attention to detail with a process- and solution-oriented mindset — you leave behind systems, not just relationships.
- A demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding performance targets.
✨ Benefits
- Work from home (or wherever)
- Competitive compensation and opportunity for equity
- Flexible paid time off
- Dental
- Vision insurance
Full job description
Postscript is the AI messaging platform trusted by 20,000+ Shopify brands — including Brooklinen, Ruggable, True Classic, and Dr. Squatch.
With a mission to make SMS your number one revenue driving channel, we built the best-in-class SMS marketing platform and launched revenue-driving AI features not available on any other platform. And we're just getting started.
Backed by Greylock and Y Combinator, fully remote since 2018.
Job Description
Postscript is the leading AI-powered conversational commerce platform for Shopify brands, trusted by 20,000+ stores. We're all-in on SMS with one goal: make it the #1 revenue channel for the merchants we serve. Backed by Greylock, Y Combinator, and other top investors, we're growing fast and looking for remarkable people to help build a world-class organization.
Merchants don't run Postscript in isolation. They run it alongside a stack of loyalty, subscription, reviews, support, and data tools — and the connections between those tools are where a lot of untapped revenue sits. This role owns that surface area.
Reporting into Marketing and working shoulder-to-shoulder with Product, the Technical Partnership Manager builds and grows Postscript's technology partner ecosystem. You'll find the partnerships worth making, scope what it actually takes to build them, and make sure each one turns into demand rather than a logo on a page. It's a rare hybrid: you need the commercial instincts to size an opportunity and the technical depth to be credible with a partner's engineering team.
Here's the thing — most partnership roles are one or the other. This one isn't.
Primary Duties
- Own a portfolio of technology and integration partners end to end: sourcing, evaluation, technical scoping, launch, and ongoing growth.
- Identify and size partnership opportunities using real inputs — shared merchant overlap, attach rate, revenue impact, and build-and-maintain cost — and make a clear recommendation on what we should and shouldn't pursue.
- Lead technical discovery with partners: understand their API surface, data model, and architecture well enough to scope a viable integration and flag risks early.
- Translate partner opportunities into written specs and business cases that Product can act on, and represent the ecosystem's needs in roadmap conversations.
- Partner with Marketing to turn every launch into demand — co-marketing, joint content, app listings, webinars, and events.
- Build the enablement layer so Sales, Solutions, and Support can sell and service integrations confidently.
- Serve as the escalation point for partner technical issues, triaging what Support handles, what Product needs to see, and what you can resolve yourself.
- Own the number. You'll carry quarterly goals for partner-influenced pipeline and integration adoption, set in tandem with leadership.
- Build the operating system for this function — tiering framework, partner agreements in concert with Legal, review cadence, and reporting.
What We'll Love About You
- 4+ years in technical partnerships, partner/solutions engineering, technical account management, product marketing, or a similar role where you owned both a commercial outcome and a technical conversation.
